Omakuchi Narasimhan passed away
Omakuchi Narasimhan, the famous comedy artist of myriad flicks has passed away today at his residence in Triplicane, Chennai.
He has portrayed some of the best comical sequences sharing screen space with Koundamani, Senthil, Vivek and Vadivelu. His role of a witty contender to Goundamani in Sarath Kumar’s ‘Suriyan’ is still remembered by one and all. In ‘Mudhalvan’, Omakuchi Narasimhan played the role of father-in-law to Vadivelu and he has also enacted beside Vivek in number of comedy tracks.
Omakuchi Narasimhan has worked in different languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Marati. He has also acted in some English films.
He has a long history in cinema with several versatile roles and guest appearances to his credit. Even though he’s no more, the uproarious scenes done by him will entertain us for the time to come and make us recall him.
The actor aged 71 is survived by his wife Saraswathi, daughters Vijayalakshmi, Nirmala, Sangeetha and son Kameshwaran. The last ritual rites will be held on Saturday with people from filmdom paying their homage to the demised artist.
We express our deepest condolence for his family members and wish his soul to rest in peace.

His comedy scenes always are those that tease his appearance, but athaiyum porutpaduduthama nammai sirikka vaithavar.
These lines have become very popular "Intha kosuthollai thaanga mudiyalappa, marunthadichu kollungappa" His scenes with GM are always nakkal and comedy

He has done a nice cameo in Gentleman as well.
He - along with usilai mani rocked in 'Manamagale Vaa'. He is probably one of the few comedians who have been referenced in a Rajini song - Rajinikanth's song 'Nooru varusham' from Panakkaran.

In Indhian, he payed an important role. He is the lorry driver who bribes the brake inspector Chandru and this is why Indhian thatha kills his son.
Few days back i watched a comedy clipping from the movie 'Abirami'. There is a scene in which Omakuchi clashes with Thayirvada and 'Agni Natchatram' theme is played in the background. I was wondering how these ppl could be so thin and still stay healthy.
I heard he is an ex-employee of LIC.

இவருக்கு சரஸ்வதி என்ற மனைவியும், காமேஸ்வரன் என்ற மகனும், விஜயலட்சுமி, நிர்மலா, சங்கீதா என்ற மகள்களும் உள்ளனர்; நிர்மலா அமெரிக்காவில் உள்ளதால், அவர் நாளை காலை சென்னை திரும்புகிறார். அதன் பிறகு நரசிம்மனின் உடல் பெசன்ட் நகர் சுடுகாட்டில் தகனம் செய்யப்படும் என்றும் நரசிம்மனின் மகன் காமேஸ்வரன் கூறினார்.

Never knew of the Japanese connection. Always thought the Omakuchi was for his physique. But it synced nevertheless. That was his advantage and he used it to max to make us laugh. Athuvum, kalaikku oru vagai thyaagamthaan.
