Tamil Films have a negative effect on students. Agreed?

I strongly feel that Tamil Films impose a negative effect on students. It teaches them the wrong things. What are your views and opinions? Quote examples of movies which are good and bad for students.

Well even if they do such things...it is up to us students to know what is right and what is wrong and what should be accepted and what should not be accepted...we should basically see movies as entertainment and not influences..the moment we see it as influences we will get the effects of it.

Hulk......yes its true tat movies dont do 100% damage......but they do add fuel to the fire...& in today's environment wher family values r not so strong & w/ the current education system tat doesnt give character foundation, the students' minds r raw to such exposures......

Yes...especially when they are quite young..this is where parents must educate their children about right and wrong...

I disagree. I feel that many tamil parents are blaming the industry for spoiling their kids because they cant find any other catalysts to blame. If they cant control their own kids , then its their own problem. Why cant they blame it on hollywood films. Considering the fact that hollywood potrays indecent images , profanity ,drugs and crime.

students are mature enough to think for themselves. they could be influenced by peer pressure and some form of traumatic parts in their life.

roja madam...sometimes students can be as young as eight years old or like we say paal vaidyum vayasu...they might not understand certain things in the movie and take it as a common procedure in life. What you say is extremely true but we should also take into consideration students who are quite young as well....not all are mature enough to accept right and wrong.

not only movies like TI,7G, boys..
but most of the movies cause more effect than this..

for example.. oru ponnu paathu sirichaa.. pothum udaney payanukku pattam poochi paraka aarambitchidum.. ava enna paathu sirichitaa sollitu rendu naal vera ethuvum mindla irrukaathu..

1 yr kaluchi.. that is infactuation sollitu tata kaatiduvaan..
lyrics of tamil songs are most affecting.. naasamaa popchi..

so.. its all experience that brings a person to take gud and bad things.

nothing can prevent..

Students learn the wrong thing from tamil movies. Can't think of any exmples now....

There're positive/negative effects but they all rely on how you perceive them.

Main reason for the way the film went must be the screenplay..it had a touch of logic in it and towards the last scene when vijayakumar would explain the difficulties of the student and also the way the students worried about their lives and their friends...and yes of course that asingam...

Hmms...to me it was positive as it explained to me the difficulties of teenagers...guess those who see the scenes without focussing on the storyline and message will get a negative impact...

Yes, the purpose of the movie is to make parents know the student's difficulties. But they presented with scenes which no parent can c. SO I THINK THE ULTIMATE MOTIVE OF THE MOVIE IS LOST.

Dreams...it was a bad rehash of thulluvatho illamai...first the screenplay was not good..secondly the way the film is framed does not carry any messages although it is said in the end.

I have thought of more negative movies...

1) Boys
2) Thiruttu Payalae
3) Kannaadi Pookal - it is a nice movie but it may create criminal ideas in some children
4) Aaru - Students may adopt the 'oorukaara' madras local language
