here is a complete actor who was groomed from K.Balachandar's University. a complete actor , can play hero, villain, comedy , character role with ease
in a short span, he played more variety of roles than those who have been acting for so many years
though some may say that he overacts i enjoy his unique style
come on guys lets share our exchanges ( ONLY POSITIVE PLS ) no dishoom dishoom

Prakash Raj is one of the few remaining artistes who can play any role with perfection...just take a look at the climax of Aasai for his mannerisms and Appu for his smooth portrayal of a eunuch...by watching him act you can gain knowledge of how to improve your expressions and body language...i just hope he continues in the industry cos we need his talents to grace the screen....

In ghillie he proved he can mix comedy with contemporary villainy with the way he called out to trisha...Chellamae i love you......the way he said that line has been repeated in the hearts of cinema fans over the years. One bankable actor this fella is.

PrakashRaj is a OK actor,ofcourse better than likes of Anandaraj.

But his negative aspect is ,his body language is almost same in all roles. Naser is 100 times better than Prakash raj in versatality.

Dunt remember the telugu movie where he acted as a village chief ( probably andhapuram in tamil ) it was an awesome acting displaying multiple emotions . one that of a proud father , arrogant husband, care for his grandson, repenting for his earlier mistakes, ultimately a good father in law when he comes to airport

joe and others . have you all seen kai alavu manasu. it was a tele serial from K.Balachandar . came in suntv and later jaya tv also.
one of the best performances of PR.
One can see a mild mannered PR there. very matured and diplomatic .

Prakash raj was gud in all the movies he played. Even when the movies were not gud, Prakash rajs performance was gud.

Take any role ...
Let it be a man driven by desire towards a girl (Aasai, Gilli) or be it a father craving for love from a sun (Arinthum ariyamalum) or father of a daughter who hates the man his daughter loves (VR MBBS) he has shown different shades in his perfomances.
Kalki as anyone has mentioned is exceptional.
Iruvar, Vidukathai deserves a special applause..

When it comes to serials, his character as Danapalan in Sahana and as Gururangan in Kai alavu manasu were also received well.

But both serials were heroine oriented (as all serials are).. Hence Praksh rajs character didnt stand out that much...

Another movie wherein PR is the hubby of Neena ( tv artist ) . Here he plays the role of an elderly person getting married to someone much younger ( generation gap ) . what challenges they come across every day and how they finally understand each other and reconcile is what the story is about .

That movie was a classic movie..Vidukathai is the title...at that stage this type of movie can be classified as a totally different style of filmmaking. Yes Prakashraj did play the role quite well but Neena was the one who stole all the plaudits. A great performance by her as a happy-go-lucky girl pretender.

Vikraman is one director whose movies are full of pathetic sentiments,not natural..Only his first movie 'Puthu vasantham' was good since it was puthusu then.

I actually really like Prakashraj

.... Esp his contributions to tamil cinema .... Like producing movies with actors of no star power, giving chances to young music directors , etc .....

..... And the movies he produced have been somwhat diff from the normal fare too (Anthappuram, Naam, Azhagiya theeye ,.......)....

I liked his acting too in many movies (Sornamukhi, Anthappuram, Aasai, Gilli, VRMBBS, Azhagiya theeyE, ..... ), somtimes he tends to overact though ....
