Masala Entertainers that have been filmed differently

Topic started by Hulkster on Thu Apr 20 22:12:27 2006.

Sure not all of us love masala entertainers and feel that they can be on our nerves...but in recent years masala entertainers have been told in a different way to make it pulsating and interesting.

Gemini - Saran

Gemini movie was a masala entertainer which was changed to depict the lives of two dons where one reforms and one tries to kill the other. The screenplay was subtle enough to flow with the storyline

Run - Lingusaamy

Madhavan's first masala entertainer was depicted in a different way to accomodate the oppositions to the love of madhavan and meera jasmine. The climax is particularly the best scene the way madhavan proves the villain by standing up and winning his love.

Dhill - Dharani

This was another masala entertainer which depicted a young man wanting to become a respected police officer and his hurdles faced in the movie to become one. Instead of the usual bashing there and here dharani has slightly changed the storyline to show the opposition of one policeman to his dreams.

There are many such masala entertainers told in a different way instead of the usual thirupachi and sivakasi kind...this thread is for you to post your views on such movies and also post movies which we may have missed/forgotten but were good depictions of masala entertainers.

( A Note:keep your discussions to movies and no bashing of any actor will be tolerated)
