Good movie..hopeless songs

There are certain movies which are very good (story and actig). HHHowever, some of these movies have hopeless songs. Discuss these here..

...selva sir..unga nakkalaku oru alavae elleiya?....Girish mayavi had good songs..kaduvul thanda was a good pathos melody while seetu kaatu rani pole was a perfect mix of bhangra and indian folk music.

A good movie with hopeless songs is really quite rare...as usually songs will be inspired depending on the movie's script.

Maybe appu's songs can be said to be of the most mediocre standard(its deva after all)

Villathi villainae.....Ponniyin Selvan had a good number in kadhal poonga where the orchestration was typical vidyasagar, a good melody although it has the heard before feeling in vennila and a modern tamil folk song in kola kolayya where the thavil is used brilliantly in the interludes.

Infact Songs were the only saving grace of the movie..

I was pretty disappointed with Anniyan songs..

Yeppa Anniyan movie songs were made to suit the movie....and i thought the songs were quite good...Iyengaar and Sukumaari were nice carnatic melodies...while the rest were typical harris songs.

Kannathil Muthamittal deserves better songs

I wish for Vettaiyadu Villayadu has better songs...IMO...it would be better if the soft songs didn't sound so similar to each other, neruppae sounds like a rehash too...and of course i hate rap use....guess I was expecting better for a Kamal movie

Kannathil Muthamitaal yes you can say it deserved better songs but it was still a pretty good attempt by ARR.

Listen to the kannathil muthamitaal song and in between the interludes you can hear a sort of wind gushing with the flute going in monotonous fashion enhancing the songs flow. The beats are also slowed down to make it seem more realistic.

rap use has been actually used as a catchy rhythm deployed by YSR and ARR with the former using it more and the latter using it better. Well Kamal usually concentrates on his aspects and does not really intefere with the technical aspects like last time.

Yes your quite right...the songs sound too similar...HJ is disappointing me after this all guns blazing style earlier...

...lets see how the movie makes up with the songs.
