Not so good looking stars...

Remember, in real life many of them are NOT GOOD LOOKING.
Movies portray life-stories of such normal ppl, who are not
aishwaryas or simrans or kamalhassans or madhavans.

Do we cherish such looks on screen? Someone who looks like our NOT-SO-GOODLOOKING next door neighbour is tolerable enough? Do we appreciate them esp in leading roles?

I find many such ppl withered away FOR THEIR LACK OF GOOD LOOKS AND/OR TALENT.

I find,

Ramarajan,
Livingston
Madhuri (tamizh actress)
Monal

etc who also failed mainly cause of their physical self.

On the other hand, think of

bhagyaraj
parthipan
murali
vijayakant
T.Rajendar
Manorama
Sarita

and others WHO INSPITE OF lacking looks WON the hearts of millions (HERE THEIR TALENTS Played the part I guess)

Even then I am clueless reg the talent of MURALI and the likes!!

List out some stars who earned fame for their TALENT rather than looks

one great example with enourmous talent with normal pleasant looks is SHOBHA (yester years actress.... a very good one at that)

I have a suggestion.

Any thread when opened, should be checked immediately to ensure it complies the logical/ethical/unique features(and other essentials). If it does, then the thread can be presented for the hubbers.

(Even if such checking or screening takes time, it can be followed strictly.This would stop hubbers from posting new threads just with the spurt of emotions)

rajkiran....hmm.. he was good in pandavar boomi.

We had CHANDRASHEKAR who was also a fairly taltented guy who mde thro.

I remember a guy who casted in 'KAATHAL OVIYAM', as radha's lover. There was a rumour that he was ACTUALLY A BEGGAR. Felt sad bout the rumour though.

Like what REG said, senthil, koundamani, vadivelu, surulirajan, janakaraj, Nagesh and list goes on (but they never did LEAD ROLES)

Nilavu, RAJNI WAS NOT ULTIMATE LOOKING, but he was definitely PLEASANT AND KINDA GOOD LOOKIN IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS. So ur point is dismissed.

I guess you are talking about Bagyaraj's 'Veetle Visheshenga'. Her name is Pragathi, not pranathi. pranathi is the recent time heroine whoc acted with Saratkumar in Gambeeram.

One thing is def true.

All these puny guys whoz around hardly 20 should STOP ACTING. They look so kiddish and not at all impressive. (Unless the story demands 12th standard or college kids)

Many men eventually become tolerable only after 25(with body building's aid). I remember PRASHANTH who used to look pathetic who turned to be amazing later.

(There are exceptions like karthik,rahmaan, bharath, siddart etc who did/does look good even when they were/are 18)

somehow not in the same league as siddharth or ajit when he came in to the industry.Rahman was good looking and karthik pathi sollave vendam..barath -kita something missing.Actually I dont know about his build but his face lacks the charm for a hero.Adhukku I like jayam ravi,arya and the whistle guy(dont know his name).These guys are more apt for college youngsters roles.

I watched this movie Daas yesterday and thats the first "Jayem" Ravi movie Ive seen.This guy is pretty good looking . He could loose some weight though..Really dont like his voice.

Hey I did try to do a search but do you know how difficult it is to search almost 11 pages.Half the time I miss threads and have to really look keenly to get hold of the one I want.

Maybbe we can include "search thread "functionality into the hub ??
Or is that functionality also present and I somehow missed it??

There's a search functionality already available..
if you are using the hub portal using
http://forumhub.mayyam.com/hub/portal.php
then there is a search bar on the left.. click advanced search and it gives u different options..
