  hey you have the ugliest bunch of actors on the planet ! yeah, what ugly mugs. seems that in india which is one of the most corrupt countries, one has to use influence, string pulling & bribes to get anything - from college admissions, jobs, degrees, not on merits or competence. in the film industry only the sons of film stars & directors are allowed to enter the profession hence indian actors take the cake for having the ugliest mugs on display on earth and most have big bellies as well, yecch !

  I have to say Vikram. Surya and Vijay are the other alternatives, since Surya seems to be improving with each movie, but he still needs to improve. The sad thing with Vijay is that he has tackled these subjects and excelled in many films like Kadhalukku Mariayathey, Thullatha Manamum Thullam, Ghilli, but he is not experimenting more.   hi frenz... i can c ur replies... s ofcourse we discussed lot abt these kind of topic before but the reason is different.....
  
  generally we discussed abt a movie or a actor... compare them... but this the next generation excels....
  
  ofcourse... rajni done so many good movies before he got super star role... after that he cannot come out from that... kamal is doing fine yet...
  
  but my question is who will be suitable all these things....

  Ajith can do any kind of roles from a lover boy to a don or a dada. He can xpress emotions clearly. vikram failed in college going boy kind of roles. since vijay has not done much different characters, we cannot say anything about him. Now surya looks more promising and he has done a lot of different roles.
  And atlast no actor cannot do all kind of roles. Each and everyone have their pros and cons. In my view, even kamal and sivaji failed to some kind of charaters well. So, we cannot say precisely. But we can make a speculation. That's all.

  Even if I'm a great vj fan 4 this one I'd say vikram cos he did impress me in pithamahan. He also suits other roles but vj is still ma favourite, second place its vj. ( vikram cant dance well as vj) I still think vj is a beta actor but vikram suits all roles. I like vj but its hard 2 choose between vj and vikram after pithamahan. Also surya he did good in pithamahan aswell

  That's because ur looking at it from a bias point of view.
  
  VJ in Kaakha would have look fine, but the story line would me totally mangled up. Many unneeded punch dialouges would be put in, a couple of cheap comedy bits, and unneeded ghana songs!! It would have lost it's uniqueness, which is what people like about the movie the most.

  I think u guys forgot about MADHAVAN. tho his movies are not super duper hits his roles are by far the most varied and he fits all his roles like a glove.be it lover boy,wanna be rowdy, local dada, illiterate cook.he is by far the one who fits anyrole very very well he rarely does the same role twice.
  
  Next i'd say Vikram and Surya. Surya was very similair in roles in the beginning but he is branching out so he is up there with Vikram. I would have Vikram at top but he does not do different roles all the time.He does different roles 50% of the time cause he wants to do both masala and offbeat.
  
  So in conclusion
  
  1) Madhavan
  2) Surya & Vikram
  
  Vijay????? LOL good joke.
  Ajith hmmmm maybe prior to dheena but after dheena he joined vijay in predicatable roles.

  Vijay repeatedly says he will not experiment.he has a forumal and he sticks to it hence if he did khaka khaka it would have gotten a complete different look.

  I think that acting wise, madhavan is better than VJ. Imagine VJ doing a role like Nala Dhamayanthi, or Anbe Sivam.....uh...horrilbe! VJ in Ayutha Ezhuthu. But can madhavan do movies like THirupachi, Ghilli, etc. Given the right team, he can easily do them.

  Vijay has tackled many roles, but who knows what more potential he has, because it has not been tapped to the fullest yet. He has done, Priyamudan (anti-hero), Poove Unakkaga (love), Kannukal Nilavu, and others. All these movies showcased his talents in different lights.
  
  However, Vikram does extraordinary, out of norm roles. That's what directors like Bala and Shankar specialize in. Something you won't see everyday. Vijay is more stuck in the boy next door thing, but I think he'll come around. Surya was like this, too, but his father's genes have to come into play somehow. Surya is an awesome actor, too.

  if you're talking about versatility, i'd rate surya better than most. his body of work so far, though limited, establishes beyond doubt his ability to fit into just about any character. i'm not a great fan of his, but i must admit i'm starting to like him more and more with every film he does.
  madhavan is good, but he needs a good director - just compare his performances in "Ayidha Ezhuthu", "Kannathil Mutthamittal" with duds like "Priyamana Thozhi" !! see what i mean ?

  Ajith ?? hmmm ... i think that guy's got talent hidden away somewhere deep down - i say this because he's given us an indication of what he can do, in films like "Aasai" and "Vaali" - the latter especially, easily one of the best movies of the 90s. but right now that talent (if he has it) doesn't seem to be surfacing. "Anjaneya" and "Jana" were duds - "Red" is probably an embarassment to most ajith fans themselves. i think the most decent ajith film i've seen of late is "Poovellam Unvaasam" - don't get me wrong, i'm not saying it was a good film. the movie sucked, but you couldn't fault ajith's acting in it ... poor guy, he probably just did what he was told.

  who knows what more potential THalai has but he has acted in many roles and excelled like lover boy in Kadal Kootai, Villan(ani-hero) in Vaali, handicapped in VIllan, Fisherman in Citizen and many many more. he excells. let's compare that with vijay. vija is no where close to Thalai. let's wait Thalai will act in Bala's Movie then you'll know his full potential.

  Truth, I'm not against Ajith, but I don't really see him as the best or my favorite. I've complimented his good looks, and his performances in rare films like Vaali. I've also said some pretty harsh things about Vijay, but I'm not going to raise Ajith to above the heavens and bash Vijay down to the dumps. Because I'm not that crazy about them. It's not my fault that you always notice the bad things about Ajith in every post. I've seen this with numerous other posts. Even if other fans say something good about Ajith, you search and search til you could find something to throw a fit about it. You are either entirely, completely cursing out Vijay or completely worshipping Ajith. Thank goodness, not everyone here is as extreme as you.   I can agree with u partially. If u r good in commenting about others, then what can u say about some other people like vincent, cucushock etc. These guys will get the heaven out of every post. But in my opinion, truth is witty and his posts are nice. What is more important and more good in him is that he comes with nice comments. He never throws something abruptly.
