Biggies hog the limelight!

By Moviebuzz | Saturday, 22 August , 2009, 11:15

It is always the big movies with superstars that hog the limelight. Now what next after Kanthaswamy?

The buzz around the release of a superstar driven big budget movie always bring more excitement to the audiences and theatres.

It is sure going to be only Diwali, 2009 falling on October 17, which is going to see the clash of the titans. Ramzan falling on September 18, is also a good day for release of biggies, and most likely Kamal Hassan-Mohanlal Unnaipol Oruvan will be releasing on that day, giving it a clear four weeks before Diwali.

On October 17, Diwali day it will be a shoot out between Suriya and Vijay as their Aadhavan and Vettaikaran are to release on the same day. There are rumours in the trade that Vettaikaran may pull out at the last minute and go for a solo release in November.

If Vettaikaran does not make it for some strange reason, then Dhanush and his Kutty may enter the Diwali release. Meanwhile at the ground level the trade has started booking theatres for both Aadhavan, the frontrunner and Vettaikaran.

Any which way you look it is going to be a cracker of a Diwali 2009!

Which film do you think will lead the diwali race?
Aadhavan (Surya, Nayanthara # KSR) [ 30 ]
Peranmai (Jeyam Ravi, Roland Kickinger # SP Jananathan) [ 15 ]
Vettaikkaran (-not applicable-) [ 20 ]
Jagan Mohini (Raja, Namitha, Nila # NK Viswanathan) [ 2 ]
