SAW 1,2,3 were especially good. The rest are too visual for me. I think the last part is coming up this halloween. I like the concept of this movie which I completely agree with! Many people do take their lives for granted

Christopher Nolan took batman series to whole new level.

Another movie in similar league was

But one thing that always amazes me is the kind of movie GVM gives, its like we can say that its his movie even if we really dunno he has done, his style is different like Maniratnam's...
i havent watched that english movie, but i hardly doubt it.....dialogues are fulcrum of any movie IMO and they were so original in VTV - it was as if GVM, the writer was sitting along with character and brought out the entire feel and situation of the happening - its such a tough task, to imagine things from a-z and then implement it......for ex: the scene where jessie comes to karthik's house for first time and has a chat with his sister - the sister's artificiality and discomfort in talking with a new person - that was so real - im sure its a movie that was experienced and not written......and i dont think GVM was inspired from anyone else other than himself and his own life

True. But I feel Jessie was heavily inspired by the mysterious female lead in 500DOS. And she was better than Trisha too (both the writing and the acting). GVM did his best to Indianize that character and I must admit he was largely successful.

500 DOS Female lead (Zooey deschanel) was based on the writer's original romance and it shows up in the start of the film as below.

    Taken from wiki

And on the topic and in the past decade.

Anjaadhe Contender for film of last decade if not for heyram.

Oram po . A very innovative film

Arindhum ariyamalum - Seriously never expected a fun film with fine performances. Vishnu V deserves a pat on the back.

Pollathavan - The narrative and thambi danush
    7g r.c - Selva

I am not denying both the points but you dont normally see such females being portrayed in tamil films and Trish's portrayal is dangerously close to Zooey's is my point. And the only other thing which is common between both the films is LAFS (which happens in 99% of all Tamil films)
