Actor Vijay Personal Background

Vijay was born on February 22 to S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar. He had a sister named Vidhya born after him who eventually died from cancer during childhood.[1] Vijay studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, but dropped out to pursue an acting career.[2]

His first movie as a hero was Naalaya Theerpu which was released in 1992 and was directed by his father.[4] The movie Poove Unakkaga released in 1996 directed by Vikraman was a mega hit for Vijay. After this success, in 1997 Kadhalukku Mariyathai,directed by Fazil, was released and it's considered an unforgettable blockbuster. During the early 2000s, he acted in several films. His streamline of failures ended after the release of his film Thirumalai which was directed by Ramanaa. Vijay had changed his facial appearance to a more younger look which appealed more viewers. He had also changed his acting skills to more appealing ones. Ghilli, an action and comedy entertainer was considered a major success for him and ran for over 150 days. Other recent hit films of Vijay's include Madhurey and Thirupaachi. His last venture Pokiri is a blockbuster
