hi guys, take a close look at the company logo behind aandavar. the name is something like "beagle II" but the company logo is more startling, it reveals a "666", which is called the "mark of the beast" or "the number of Satan" in christian mythology. may be an apt logo for an organisation manufacturing bio weapons
may be joe could explain us more about the significance of "666" and what the book of Revelations (in bible) say about that. |

I was skeptical about Himesh pulling it off in Dasavathaaram; but I had some hopes as he is going to work under Kamal’s command. I didn’t expect much from it and so I am pleased with the output. Infact, Himesh surprised me with the orchestration of the song. In my little exposure to Himesh’s music, I have never heard such solid orchestration in his songs. The songs are devoid of any bollywood or typical Himesh sound. If there is something that is typical of Himesh in the soundtrack, it is the catchy hook lines in all the songs and even that works favorably. Vaali and Vairamuthu keep the Tamil flavour intact and add quality to the songs with their meaningful lines. Except for the typical club item number ‘Kaa Karupanukkum’ and extremely hilarious Himesh’s version of ‘Oh ho sanam’, the soundtrack is worth listening. |

Lord Vishnu too has ten avatars, so how is that linked to your film? Lord Vishnu's ten avatars are an inspiration, but our movie is not limited to that connotation only. When we started the movie we thought of doing something like Sivaji saab's Navrathri and somebody suggested to us to remake it, but we wanted to use this idea as an inspiration only. So we thought of adding one more character and calling it Dasavtharam. Why are you creating such suspense and not revealing the ten characters that you essay in the film? Why does a magician never tell you his trick? (Laughs) There have been talks of you and Rajnikant together in a film… We keep talking about it… looks like we will just keep talking about it. What do you think of the changing scenario in Bollywood? I have been telling many of my friends that the Bombay film content is changing rapidly and especially the acting talent and technological skills which will give us (Tamil film industry) a run for money. The whole industry can become stronger and entertainment can become more appealing when even the smallest player does his part very well. And that, I see is happening in Bombay, much to our envy. Kamal is trying to balance his veeram with vivegam! thats all! |

My favorites are, needless to day 'Ulaga naayganae' followed by 'kallai mattum kandaal'. Mugunda Mugunda is also good. The beats in 'kaa karu' are very good. Nice racy song. I think much credit should go the two guys who wrote the lyrics. Ulaga naayaganae lyrics are damn good. chance ae illai ! will set the theatres on fire if the picturisation is also good. Overall, an enjoyable soundtrack except the enormous thamiz kolai in the form of Himesh. But must say - The beats are so refreshing to hear in tamil though it might sound normal for anyone who have heard Himesh before. 'Karu karu' and 'Oh oh sanam' are vintage Himesh. Beats are damn good. It is so refreshing to hear these two songs. Eagerly waiting for the video version of these songs |

Shooting the grandmother role and the tall man’s role was most challenging for me,” he adds. And Kamal Haasan- too much has been said about his ten-pack. But the director agrees there’s more connection to the 10 roles and the title Dasavathaaram besides the 12th century portions which suggest Vaishnavism overtones. “A few character names among the 10 roles of Kamal have been chosen to resemble to Vishnu’s 10 avatar’s names,” Ravikumar says. About the movie’s storyline, guesses are galore in the media: Chaos Theory, Vedanta, Al Gore, Global warming, Synthetic Bioweapons: It’s not insulting our intelligence, all right, but is it only for the educated? “It’s got a strong storyline and has a few elements like these to it. But no way will it be confusing. Dasavathaaram won’t scare or intimidate any viewer. I can assure you that,” he states. The movie is complete but for the frames of the tsunami, which are being done in Hong Kong. “But the music that was out a week ago is doing very good. My pick is Ulaga Naayagane,” Ravikumar reveals. The song will feature KS Ravikumar praising Kamal Haasan and dancing in the movie. But Dasavathaaram is a mammoth effort and KS Ravikumar knows there’s more to his role as a director in Kollywood than the magnum opus. “If I do movies as big as this, I can only do four Dasavathaarams for the rest of my life,” he jokingly states. “And not all producers would be open to doing big budget movies as this,” he reasons. So the formula-director hopes to be back with two other movies by the end of this year: Jaggubai and a yet-to-be-titled movie with Vikram. Jaggubhai, yes, the movie Rajini and KS Ravikumar were supposed to do after Baba. “This Jaggubhai features Sarath Kumar and Shriya. It is one of the five scripts I prepared for Rajini but this one is not the script we planned on doing,” he explains. Interestingly, Shriya will play Sarath’s daughter in the movie which will see the Supreme Star don an elderly character. There will be a flashback, of course. So, is the plan of Rajini and him doing a movie together ruled out? “Yes, it doesn’t seem to be happening now. I spoke to him on retaining the title and using it for the Sarath Kumar movie. He was okay with it,” he says. With a Rajini-starrer virtually ruled out and a movie with Kamal not in the cards, it seems like it’s time for other young actors to team up with this time-tested, successful director. |
