Ajith flies to Hong Kong By Behindwoods News Bureau. January 08, 2008 Ultimate star Ajith is on cloud nine with the stupendous success of Billa and his elation reached a higher zenith with wife Shalini delivering a baby girl. On the professional front, he had committed to a film to be directed by Raju Sundaram which was reported to commence after Shalini’s delivery as the couple was keen that Ajith be present during her labor. Ajith Now that everything has fallen in place, he has decided to resume work from the 18th, after celebrating Pongal with his family. The actor along with Raju Sundaram’s crew is all set to fly to Hong Kong on the 18th where they intend to start filming the stunt scenes which is an unusual norm in the industry. The reason, sources say, is that they haven’t zeroed in on the leading lady. Many names had done the rounds in the past few weeks starting first with Shriya and things have now come a full circle as the Sivaji lady seems to be the person most likely to play Ajith’s lady love. Inside sources close to the director indicate that Ajith plays the role of an intelligence officer in the film. |

There is a buzz that she is back as heroine in choreographer Raju Sundaram's untitled film for Ayngaran. Last week Shriya who was in Chennai shooting for Kandasamy met up one night over dinner with "good friend" Trisha at Dakshin in Park Sheraton. The buzz is that it was Trisha who advised her to call up Ajit and wish him on becoming a father. And when Shriya called up "Thalai" to wish him, the cool-as-cucumber star was impressed by her talk. Much before that, the real "superstar of Kollywood" had told him never to mix personal likes and dislikes with one's work, and at some point in his career he should work with people like Vadivel with whom he had ideological differences. The grapevine has it that after Shriya spoke to Ajit, the ice between them has melted, and he has no objection to being paired with her. It was sweet music for Raju Sundaram as his mission for a glamorous replacement heroine for Shriya had ended in a fiasco. He has to start the film from February first week if it has to release for August 15, and now if Shriya makes some adjustments with her dates it is possible for her to be a part of the project. Meanwhile there has not been any official statement from the producer or the director's side to confirm the news. There have been reports that Ayesha Takia and Sneha Ullal were keen to do the film. I am not happy with the they chose Yuvan. Looks like Raju was keen on HJ (might be after yuvan walking out of PEAS. He himself walked out of the same project). For songs, the comfortability between the director and the music director plays a great role. Having said that, I hope Raju gives us superb songs since yuvan was his first choice for PEAS |
. I burnt kreedam DVD and the 1st 20 minutes were so boring. to be very frank I could not watch the movie 2nd time which was not the case with Billa. Hmmmm.... regarding Billa I think its the third movie that me and my wife have seemed to like at the first instance. 2 other movies we liked instantly were Dhool and Mahesh Babu's Pokiri. whenever we donot have any good programs in TV we tend to watch Dhool or pokiri .One other movie we like is Gilli (well my wife likes it!) and like its original Okkadu and we watch it once in a while.Now Billa will join the list(she likes Sei and naan meendum song while I like seval kodi and vethalaya potendi).| From: Freedom on Fri Jan 11 11:34:05 2008. |

Only because of SRK was Main Hoon Na able to do so well. It got ok reviews. It'd be nice if Ajith does a film like Taare Zameen Par. |

Jeeva, Nirav,Ravi Kchandran, KV Anand were all assistants of PC sreeram and they have made a mark for themselves in the industry. So may be the assistant of Nirav may be good too ( May be!). coming to directors, its a different story. Bharathan was an assistant to Dharani, Chella to SJS (SJS ke ippo market illa!). But with CRAZY MOHAN writing the dialogues, I think we can hope for good humour. (Thala should improve his command on the language or atleast the way he should say those dialogues Crazy should take care of that)

Well, some SS's superhits were remakes, most of Vijays superhits were remakes(no diggs here). Why Ajith should loose this previlage Remember Martin Scorsese got Oscar only for his remake. Having said all this, as a ardent film watcher i would like to go to a movie expecting something new, orginal from director or actor. But, as a Ajith fan i dont mind watching a remade movie that is presented well. At the eod its success what matters. |

By Moviebuzz Thursday, 31 January , 2008, 14:47 In a sensational last minute twist, Ajit and his director Raju Sundaram has managed to convince Katrina Kaif to do their Ayngaran produced film in Tamil! The film was to be originally done by Shriya, but after she did the cameo dance number with Vadivel in INA, a furious Ajit refused to do the film with her. Later there was a desperate attempt for patch up and it looked like Shriya would make a comeback into the project, as the talkie portion was to start in the first week of February in Ooty. But Raju Sundaram and Ajit were still talking to Katrina who came down to Chennai last week to meet her boy friend Salman Khan who was shooting for the Hindi version of Pokkiri at Binny Mills. This time they were able to convince Katrina who is one of the hottest heroines in Bollywood especially after her Welcome turned out to be 2007’s biggest hit. Katrina has so far done two films in south - Malleswari with Venkatesh in Telugu and Balram versus Taradas in Malayalam, both super hits. She is said to be “lucky” and now paired with the hottest hero in Kollywood, the project has suddenly become big. Pre-release hype is a must for that & IMO, the title of the film also has an important part in that. I feel that they could have kept a title which everyone can understand. |
