Almost all heros in Malayalam have done at least 1 'vadakkan pattu' role. Satyan, Jayan and Naseer have done too many of them. Mammootty, suresh gopi (vadakkan veeragadha) and Mohanlal (Kadathanadan ampadi) were recent movies of the category.
Which actor would you rate as the top performer in these type of movies?

  true mammootty was excellent in "vadakkan veeragatha". Prema Nazir was good in "Padayottam" but not in other movies.

  That is correct. I felt the same way when I saw the movie. It was directed by 2 different directors. Maybe that is the reason why that movie was so bad.

  i never praised kadthanadan Ambadi in fact when it was released(during 1990 vishu) we all were expecting a spectacular movie but it ended in a trash. lot of expectations was generated at that time for that movie
