Some carnatic musicians are very arrogant and lacking in humility. It just does not make sense
to sing a whole concert full of Tyagaraja Kritis full of Bhava (feeling), but still put on an arrogant attitude before or after the concert, yet I have seen quite a number of them fitting this mold. One Sangitha Kalanidhi of recent years is particularly viciously arrogant and will not even condescend to glance in the direction of ordinary people who want to complement him for his fine concert !!! I dont want to mention the names here, but the decent ones do merit a mention here. Yes, I understand that these are human beings and have their weaknesses like all human beings, but still I find it odd that a musician who has sung a Tyagaraja composition exhorting humility and total submission to the Lord behaving very snobbishly immediately after the concert !
I will just list the good ones here. These are
very nice people in my opinion, devoid of airs
(or at least give such an impression):
M.S.Gopalakrishnan
Balamurali Krishna

Well put, Babu. "Vidya NA dhatati vinayam" ??
Musicians, at times, can get carried away by the recongitions conferred on them by enthusiastic rasikas. Starwalts like Thirvaduthurai were known for erratic behavior.
Today's musicians are showered with dollars and trips abroad. The head-strong ones better understand that they can't market their stuff without the support of rasikas all over.
At the same time, we rasikas shouldn't expect any Thyagaiyar-style humility in these musicians !
Of course there are a few exceptions (as mentioned in the write up) and they are all really humble vidwans.

Once O S T during a concert in north madras refused accept the slip [definitely not to sing mangalam]given by an enthusiastic rasika. The refusal was very crude. All felt very bad.
