Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the different meaning for the word "Sri" or "Shree" ? Because, for God's archana, will start with Sri and for the babies, we start or end the name with "Shree" and even in invitations, we put the same?
Thank u in advance.

Shri/Sri is generally used to show our respect especially to any elderly personsand to divinity.
The other meaning of Sri is that it represents Godess LAKSHMI.This is up to my knowledge.Thank U

Shree or Sri is the Goddess Lakshmi - the goddess of well-being. She is the capacity to grow. When you initiate the process of growth in yourself, you become the goddess!
