Does Ganguly deserve to be the captain again? I think yes. But after the dismal performance with bat, I thgt he would opt himself out and concentrate on his batting, like Tendulkar. Other than his bad patch, he is a good captain and has been successful of late. Let us not read much abt the Srilankan series. Hasn't other captains gone thro' this phase !! How abt Steve Waugh, shd he have been dropped after the series loss against India ? Lets hope he comes back victors after the SA tour (wishful thinking, of course). I think he is the most stylish left hand batsman after David Gower. Its a treat to watch when he is on a song. His timing is marvellous. Let us wish all the best

More than his poor batting form in the last series, it is his arrogance and attitude that has won him many enemies.

I wdn't say he is arrogant. He is frank and outspoken. He doesn't hesitate to call a spade a spade. When other captains do it, we don't cry hoarse. Why Ganguly ? Ofcourse, he as made mistakes as a captain, he doesn't do the right bowling changes when reqd. But he doesn't let down the youngsters. He supports them. Best example is Hemang Badani. That man is totally at sea, but still he was being selected for all the matches, hoping he wd make use of the opportunity. These youngsters r talented, but, lack the attitude to win. But, John Wright as coach is not doing much, as was expected. For instance, Rahul Dravid, a senior most member in the team doesn't even ground his bat while running. He was even runout because of this. As a coach, isn't it his duty to point out this mistake. Samw with Ganguly, why can't the Coach advise the batsman to change his technique as the leg side is always packed. Lets hope that he will do it against SA atleast
