A very informative Researched Article on the "Uttaramerur Kalvettukal" on the walls of the Vaikunthaperumal Temple at Uttaramerur in Kanchipuram District closer to Vanthavaasi of the period of Paranthaka Chola - 1

The details on this Inscription is also given in Tamil & English at the following "Web Site".

The Tamilians who are very much interested in the study of the "Medieval Period Chola History" of Tamil Nadu, should read these Articles in the above "Websites", to be informed on the "Electoral Voting System" that prevailed during the period of Cholas.

This is highlighted "prior to the day of the "Tamil Nadu State Elections to be held in May 2016" - as "food for thought to all those who are interested in the Political Studies of Tamil Nadu".

The Research Scholars interested "in making their own study and evaluation of same" from the original Texts of the two Tamil Inscriptions at Uttaramerur on "Electoral Voting System" - could study read these Inscriptions either from the Archaeological Survey of India 1904-5, or from the book titled "Pitkaala Chola Chariththiram by Sathasiva Pandaaraththaar" in it's first edition dated 1974 of Annaamalai Palkalaikkalakam, and from the subsequent two editions of same book - dated 2008 and 2011 of Ramaiah Pathippakam Chennai 600014.
