NM, there're two versions by Elton John.
The first was for Marilyn Monroe, the later which was a runaway hit was rewritten by John and dedicated to Diana.

I know the second one was dedicated to Diana.."Goodbye English Rose'.....wasn't sure if the original version was also by Sir Elton John.....

Careless Whisper was a hit during my schooling time... I remember a guy was after one of my friends, she hated him so much!! He dedicated this song to her during a party and we nicknamed him "careless whisper'..... can't remember his real name now
