The Island

The film (with Tamil sub-titles) revolves around a Russian sailor, Anatoly. During World War II, Anatoly and his captain, Tikhon, are captured by the Nazis when they board their barge and tugboat that are carrying a shipment of coal. The Nazi officer leading the raid offers Anatoly the choice to shoot Tikhon and stay alive. Anatoly reluctantly accepts the offer. Thirty years pass. Anatoly now has the gift of clairvoyance and healing. People come to see him for cures and guidance, but even now he remains in a perpetual state of repentance. A prominent admiral, who turns out to be Tikhon, arrives to see Anatoly with his daughter, who gets possessed by demons but Anatoly exorcises them.

Pirates of the 20th Century

Watch this 1979 Soviet action/adventure film on modern piracy. ‘Neskin,’ the Russian cargo ship leaves with ‘abin,’ a source drug necessary for manufacturing medicines. The ship is attacked mid-sea and is captured by pirates. This riveting action thriller is directed by Boris Durov and Stanislav Govorukhin. The film is part of this week’s Russain films special on the channel.

வில்லனே இல்லாத புதிய தொடர் -`உறவுகள்' சன் டிவி



`அகல்யா', `பந்தம்' - வெற்றித் தொடர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து சேன் மீடியா நிறுவனம் தயாரிக்கும் புதிய மெகா தொடர் `உறவுகள்'. இந்தப் புதிய தொடர் சன் டிவியில் வரும் திங்கள்கிழமை முதல் ஒளிபரப்பாகிறது.

`அகல்யா' தொடரில் ஆண்-பெண் நட்பை கதைக்கருவாகக் கையாண்டிருந்தனர். `பந்தம்' தொடரில் தோழிகள் இருவரின் வேறு, வேறு மன உணர்வுகளை அழுத்தமாகப் பதிவு செய்ததோடு, சின்னத்திரையில் காலையில் ஒளிபரப்பாகும் தொடர்களில் கதாநாயகியை முதன் முதலில் இரட்டை வேடத்தில் நடிக்க வைத்தனர்.

தற்போது `உறவுகள்' தொடரில் ஒரு கூட்டுக் குடும்பத்தை கதைக்களமாகக் கையாண்டு உள்ளனர். இன்றைய நாகரீக உலகில் கூட்டுக் குடும்பத்தின் அருமையும், தேவையும் முற்றிலுமாக மறைந்து விட்டது என்றே சொல்லலாம். கணவன், மனைவி ஒரே வீட்டில் வாழ்ந்தாலும் அவர்கள் கூட மனதளவில் தனித்தனி மனிதர்களாகவே உலா வருகின்றனர்.

இன்னும் சில வருடங்களில் கூட்டுக் குடும்பம் என்றால் என்ன என்பதே இன்றைய இளைய சமுதாயத்தினருக்குத் தெரியாமல் போய்விடும் அபாயத்தில் நாம் இருக்கிறோம் என்பதை மனதில் கொண்டு, கூட்டுக் குடும்பத்தின் அவசியத்தை உணர்த்தும் வகையில் இத்தொடரின் திரைக்கதை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்தத் தொடரில் வரும் அனைத்துக் கதாபாத்திரங்களும் நல்ல மனது கொண்டவர்கள். வழக்கமாக தொலைக்காட்சி தொடர்களில் இடம் பெற்றிருக்கும் வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரம், இத்தொடரில் இல்லை என்பதே இத்தொடரின் புதுமையாகும்.

`பாலப்பிரும்மம்' - ஜெயா டிவி



ஜெயா டி.வி.யில் வரும் திங்கள் முதல் வரவிருக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி, `பாலப்பிரும்மம்'. அபஸ்வரம் ராம்ஜியின் இசை மழலையும், ஜெயா டிவியும் இணைந்து தொடர்ந்து 6-வது ஆண்டாக வழங்கி வரும் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி, கர்நாடக சங்கீதம் பயின்ற இளம் குழந்தைகளின் திறன்களை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. மழலை மாறாத இளம் குழந்தைகளின் வாய்ப்பாட்டு மற்றும் இசைக்கருவிகளை அவர்கள் கையாளும் திறன் ஆகியவை முழுமையாக இதில் வெளிப்படுகிறது.

மெகா தொடர்களில் அழுகை, பகை, பழிவாங்குதல், விரோதம் போன்றவற்றையே கதைக் கருவாகக் கொண்ட தொடர்களுக்கு மத்தியில் காதலை மட்டுமே மையமாக கொண்ட தொடர்களை விஜய் டிவி வழங்கி வந்தது.

"இது ஒரு காதல் கதை'', "காதலிக்க நேரமில்லை'' போன்ற காதல் வெற்றி தொடர்களின் வரிசையில் வரும் திங்கள் முதல் ஒளிபரப்பாகவிருக்கும் காதல் தொடர், அன்பே வா.

Boys VS Girls

The reality show that features seven gorgeous girls and dashing boys is reaching the semi-final stage this week. After 15 weeks of competitive rounds, it is the girls’ team that tops the charts with its outstanding performance. The challenge faced in Friday’s semi-finals will be called the ‘bonus round’. The team that scores more points will get bonus points of 25. Three members from both the teams will have to perform to different dance styles. The Saturday episode will showcase the following rounds: Solo, Group and Concept. The theme for this week’s concept round is ‘Freestyle’. The jury comprises actors Srikanth and Mumtaz.

Adhu Idhu Edhu

Vijay TV launches a new comedy show ‘Adhu Idhu Edhu.’ Three popular faces, a witty host and an elevator form the pivot of this unique attempt. Sivakarthikeyan hosts the show. Celebrity participants have to complete several tasks assigned to them in the stipulated time provided. There are three rounds — Group-le-dupe-u, Siricha Pochu and Poi Solla Porom.

In the first round, a group of three from the same profession will have to answer a question. The winner will be the one who finds out who is faking it. In Siricha Pochu, comedians have to perform funny acts before celebrities and the one who laughs first will be eliminated first. In Poi Solla Porom, celebrities will narrate an incident and the audience has to identify which one of them is lying.
