ஆர்யா, மாதவன், சமீரா ரெட்டி, அமலாபால் நடித்து வரும் படம் ' வேட்டை'. லிங்குசாமி இயக்க யுவன்சங்கர்ராஜா இசையமைத்து வருகிறார். திருப்பதி பிரதர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் மூலம் லிங்குசாமியே தயாரிக்க யு.டிவி நிறுவனம் இப்படத்தினை வெளியிட இருக்கிறது.
கிருஸ்துமஸ் தின வெளியீடு என முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டு வேலைகளை துரிதப்படுத்தி வந்தார்கள். இன்னும் 2 பாடல்களை படமாக்க வேண்டுமாம்.
ஒரு பாடலுக்காக வரும் 20ம் தேதி ஆர்யா, அமலாபால் இருவரும் துபாய் செல்ல இருக்கிறார்கள். மற்றொரு பாடலுக்காக ஹதராபாத்தில் பிரம்மாண்டமாக 60 லட்ச ரூபாய்க்கு செட் அமைத்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.
இவ்விரண்டு பாடல்கள் படமாக்கப்பட்டதும், அதனையெடுத்து இதர பணிகள் இருப்பதால் படத்தினை 2012 பொங்கல் அன்று வெளியிட தீர்மானித்து இருக்கிறார்கள்.
இப்படத்தின் இசையை டிசம்பர் 2ம் வாரத்தில் வெளியிட இருக்கிறார்கள்.
பொங்கல் 2012 அன்று விஜய் நடிக்கும் 'நண்பன்' படத்தோடு போட்டியிட இருக்கிறது 'வேட்டை

Never before Pongal has less than 2 minimum releases.
Actually releasing on Pongal/Diwali times increases theatre footage atleast 15% than other days.
this is the first time Shankar movie releasing on festive day..usually gets Solo release

Sun Pictures have decided to opt out of the marketing of PVP Cinemas Rajapattai, creating shock waves in the industry.
Sembian Sivakumar who heads Sun Pictures has confirmed that they will not be marketing the film.
Rajapattai is a big budget film which has Vikram and Deeksha Seth in the lead and is directed by Suseenthiran.
It is an all out action entertainer, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Currently the unit is shooting two songs in Italy. Three glam girls Shriya Saran, Reema Sen and Saloni are there for added glamour.

UTV and Thirrupathi Brothers have officially announced the release date for Vettai.
The multistarrer will hit the screens worldwide, for Pongal 2012
Vettai stars Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in lead roles, under the direction of hit maker Lingusamy with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film revolves around two brothers and two sisters and it is a pucca family entertainer for the festival season.
UTV, who are distributing the film worldwide, has commenced booking the theatres for Pongal.
A single track from the audio will be launched on Dec 12 in Chennai.
