There are also half a dozen small films which are also desperately looking for screen space.
Among the lot Aadukalam has been censored and promotions for the film have started on Sun TV. The audio launch which took place a month back was shown on the channel on Sunday afternoon; kick starting the promotions of one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.
Siruthai audio had a soft launch as it hit the stores directly on December 30. The film will be censored this week and is sure to hit the theatres on January 14.
Chief Minister Karunanidhi written Ilaignan has also been censored and will release on January 14, with a lot of promotions going on in Kalaignar TV.
The big question being asked by the trade is whether Vijay's Kaavalan will release for Pongal. Sources close to Sakthi Chidambaram who is marketing the film say it will positively release on January 14 worldwide. Kaavalan is likely to be censored this week as the producers are busy completing the post-production work of the film.

Aadukkalam - I loved the film!!!
Watched the film to a full house with an amazing crowd
Many funny moments in the movie without a single comedian
Danush sans any heroism, as the boy next door, was such a natural!
Heroine was okay in the beginning and got better and better.
The cockerel master was dubbed by Radha Ravi and that was a little obtrusive.
The BEST part of the movie, is that you CANNOT predict what happens next!
Did I say Danush was amazing?
When I thought the movie was going to end, Intermission came!
When I was looking forward to what happens next, movie ends.
Mentioned in the beginning is that no live chickens were used in the making.
Ocher Studios was credited again.
Both was unnecessary since all the cockerel-fights looked unreal.
And they didnt fight like chicken either - more like Danush
And the climax fight was so unreal - these are about the only sore points in the film.
None of the songs are sung by the characters; all appear in the background with dialogues in between.
Danush brings down the house with yaaththE yaaththE with his antics. Such a natural actor.
Every single person acted well...! Kudos to Vetrimaran.
Lots of English dialogues but they are all spoken by anglo Indians. :P
Danush doesnt know English. :P
Danush has no punch dialogues, except - naanga ellaam tsunamilE swimming adippomla
While cockerel fight is central point of the story-telling, the movie gets bigger than that. And I won't say anything else beyond it, so as not to spoil the thrill of watching it yourself.

Martin Production's Ilaingnan is based on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's own novel, and he's written the story, screenplay and dialogue. This also happens to be his 75th film.
In addition, director Suresh Krssna, who's almost disappeared from the Tamil scene despite a blockbuster like Baasha, has returned with this, his 50th film.
Ilaingnan should have been a dhamaka but it turns out to be a damp squib.
Circa 1959, when the ship-building business was still going strong, the scene is set with Rajanayagam's Shipbuilding Company by the sea shore, where evil rules over all things good. Yes, that's the sort of moralistic tone adopted by the entire film and you have no choice but to fall in with it.
Thankfully, there's at least one good guy in the family business, Deivanayagam (Sarath Babu) who's kind and has the best interests of his workers at heart. But his son Rajanayagam (Suman) is evil personified, the ogre who lives in the palace and kills without discrimination.
He's aided by his evil girlfriend, Sena (Namitha), who appears to be a throwback to Manohara's Vasanthasenai, except that she wears bright red lipstick, short skirts that shows off her cellulite, and speaks with an accent that's neither English nor Indian. The entire shipping company lies within a natural fortress of some kind, and the workers are sealed within, for whatever reason.
Enter the good guys: hero Karki (Pa Vijay), the son of factory worker Arokkyasami (Nasser) who has his own cohorts (Ilavarasu, Nizhalgal Ravi, Delhi Ganesh, et al) and mother Valliammai (Khushboo), who gives talks every night to the downtrodden, quoting Karl Marx and Karki himself.
He itches to change things, but is stopped by his irate father who drinks to escape his fate. In the midst of this all is Chettiar (Y G Mahendran) and his pretty daughter Ramya (Ramya Nambeesan). The girl, naturally, is in love with Karki, who, due to family circumstances, joins the shipping corporation, sweats in furnaces and fumes at the injustice meted out to his colleagues.
Cue for more characters to join the fray: Meera (Meera Jasmine)suddenly enters their lives like a breath of 'plastic' air, clad in bright clothes, school shoes and floppy hats. Apparently, she's just back from the States, and after keeping silent for most of the film, suddenly declares that she's a mechanical engineer (!) who can deliver Karki and his people from evil.
It's hard to believe that the year is 1959, and not 1920, when the cars that roll in are archaic, Englishmen and women wear flowing skirts and hats that would seem at home in the 18th century. There's absolutely no evidence of the 1950s.
Karki himself swings from gray shop-clothes at one time, to modern t-shirts at another. Even more hilarious are the song sequences he has in Switzerland and other foreign locales with both his heroines!
It has to be noted, though: Lyricist Pa Vijay isn't that bad, as the fuming, foaming-at-the-mouth hero. He gets his diction right, his body language is passable and actually manages to inject some feeling into the trite dialogues and cliched situations.
Unfortunately, no one aside from him has any role to play, except perhaps Namitha, who performs quite creditably (!) as the villainess of the piece. The rest of the cast has little to do except stand aside and look on soulfully. Even Vadivelu, whose presence is completely unnecessary, doesn't pull in many laughs.
Vidhyasagar's music has a few melodious numbers like Imai Thoothanae, and Mazhaiyil Kulitha. The art direction has made sure everything looks tacky. The completed ship, especially, swathed in a rainbow of colours (and named, appropriately, 'Rainbow') looks like the epitome of silliness.
In the end, though, it's not really the fault of the actors, the production crew or the director, for having turned out a big mass of cliches: it's the writing: Chock-full of situations and twists that have existed for decades, dialogues that never touch you and a climax that's straight out of a fairy-tale. The only spark, if you could call it that, comes in the form of violent words thrown at Sena, the female antagonist. The implication is obvious.
Ilaingnan is a wasted effort, in spectacular fashion.

krs, I wouldnt be surprised if SAC engineered a compromise with Kalaignar family should DMK come to power again. Or, some time in the future when they gain power again if they lose this time. Fans can get worked up all they want but artists and leaders take care of their personal interests as seen many times before - I think the only thing we can say with fair certainty is that MK-JJ reconcilliation will not happen. But again, I wouldnt be surprised of Stalin-JJ reconcile at a later point of time post-kalaignar. No permanent enemies in Politics.

Selva, I'm sure many, including me who's not a fan of Vijay, realize the problems faced by him during the release of Kavalan.
But what saddens me is that most people are only realizing the "manipulation" of politicians when the same manipulation affects their favorite stars' release.
Just out of curiosity, if Sun TV and the gang gives massive support to Vijay's next release (it won't be surprising if they did) would you turnaround and speak accolades about them? Because I have a feeling this is what most people are going to do anyway.

SAC forced Udhayanidhi to pay for lot many things(like producer need to pay for running the movie till silver Jubilee, spending for local ads etc.) apart from the Salary.. ஷக்தி சிதம்பரம் கட்சி வித்தியாசமில்லாமல் பட வெளியீட்டுக்காக கடன் வாங்கியிருந்ததால், பஞ்சாயத்தில் அரசியலும் புகுந்து விட்டது. ஒருவரை செட்டில் பண்ணி அனுப்பினால் அடுத்தவர் வருவார், ஓயாத அலைகள் போல. இதில் தயாரிப்பாளர் ரொமேஷ்பாபு பெரிதாக ஏமாற்றப்பட்டிருப்பதும் தெரிய வந்ததாம்.
கலைப்புலி சேகரன், தேனப்பன், மைக்கேல் ராயப்பன் போன்றவர்கள்தான் பஞ்சாயத்தை நல்லபடியாக முடித்து, விஜய் படத்தை பொங்கலுக்குக் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும் என்று ஆர்வம் காட்டியிருக்கிறார்கள். இதுவரை எந்தவொரு தமிழ்ப் படத்திற்கும் இப்படியொரு பஞ்சாயத்துக் காட்சிகள் நடந்ததில்லை என வியக்கிறார்கள் தமிழ் சினிமா வைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள்.
படம் தொடர்பான விவரங்களை விஜய் அளவுக்கு நடிகர் அஜித்தும் ஆர்வமாக ஃபாலோ செய்திருக்கிறார். நண்பனின் படம் மீதான ஆர்வமாக இதைச் சொல்கிறார்கள் அஜித் தரப்பில்.
இந்த விறுவிறு பஞ்சாயத்து, பொங்கலுக்கு முதல்நாள் போகியன்று உச்சத்தை அடைந்தது. அன்று ரிலீஸ் தேதியென்பதால், மறுநாள் பொங்கல் அன்றாவது படம் ரிலீஸாகுமா என்ற ஆர்வம் ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் எகிறியது. கடைசியில் ஒருவழியாக 15-ம் தேதி பொங்கலன்று படம் வெளியாகிவிட்டது.
இடையில் என்ன நடந்தது என பஞ்சாயத்தில் கலந்துகொண்ட சிலரிடம் கேட்டோம்.

தி. நகரில் உள்ள அன்பு அலுவலகத்தில் வைத்து சக்தி சிதம்பரத்தை சிலர் அடித்து உதைத்தனர். அவர்களில் சிலர் ரொமேஷ்பாபுவை அடிக்க முயற்சி பண்ண, அவருக்கு ஆதரவாக ஃபெப்ஸி முரளி களம் இறங்கி ரொமேஷ்பாபுவை காப்பாற்ற வேண்டியதாயிற்று. அவரே முழு பஞ்சாயத்தையும் முடித்திருக்கிறார்.
கடைசியாக விஜய் தரப்பில் இருந்து மூன்றரைக் கோடி ரூபாய் தருவதாக ஒப்புக் கொண்டார்கள். இதையடுத்து இந்தப் பிரச்னை ஒருவழியாக முடிவுக்கு வந்தது.
எஸ்.ஏ.சி.க்கு இந்தப் படத்தை ஷக்தி சிதம்பரத்துக்குச் கொடுப்பதற்கு விருப்பம் இருக்கவில்லையாம். அவர் ஒரு சேனலுக்குத்தான் விற்கச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். ஆனால் ரொமேஷ்பாபுதான் ஷக்திக்கு படத்தை விற்று, இவ்வளவு பிரச்னையையும் ஏற்படுத்தி விட்டார் என அவர்மேல் கோபமாக இருக்கிறார்கள் விஜய் தரப்பினர்’’ என சொல்கிறார்கள்.
இந்தப் பிரச்னை இவ்வளவு தூரம் போவதற்கு ஆளுங்கட்சியும் காரணம் என விஜய் தரப்பில் நினைக்கிறார்களாம்.
விஜய், ராகுல் காந்தியை சந்தித்ததில் இருந்தே தி.மு.க. தரப்பில் இருந்து விஜய்க்கு பல்வேறு நெருக்கடிகள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. இதனால் அவர் அ.தி.மு.க. பக்கம் செல்வார் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்டது. சில வாரங்களுக்கு முன்பு எஸ்.ஏ.சி.யும் ஜெயலலிதாவைச் சந்தித்தார்.

பின் சீட்டுக்காரர் சிரிக்கிற சிரிப்பில் பிடறியெல்லாம் எச்சில்! இந்த சாரல் மழையை தியேட்டர் முழுக்க பரப்பி, பொங்கலை சி(ரி)றப்பித்திருக்கிறார் புதுமுக இயக்குனர் சிவா. (தமிழுக்குதான் இவரு புதுசு. ஆந்திராவுல ஏற்கனவே ஹிட் அடித்தவர்) அவ்வப்போது இது தெலுங்கு படத்தின் தழுவல்ப்பா என்பதை சொல்லாமல் சொல்கிறது சில காட்சிகள். அந்த இடங்களில் மட்டும், கட்டாய இன்டர்வெல்லுக்கு தள்ளப்படுகிறான் ரசிகன்.
தானுண்டு தன் ஜேப்படி வித்தை உண்டு என்று தொழில் நடத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பிக்பாக்கெட் கார்த்தியிடம் வந்து சேர்கிறது குழந்தை ஒன்று. வார்த்தைக்கு வார்த்தை அது அப்பா அப்பா என்று இவரை கொஞ்ச, குழந்தையின் நிஜ அப்பா யார் என்பதும், அவரும் தன்னை போல உருவ ஒற்றுமையுள்ள காவல் துறை அதிகாரி என்பதும் தெரிய வருகிறது திருடனுக்கு.
இந்த வழக்கமான ஆள்மாறாட்ட கதையை வழக்கம் போலில்லாமல் மாற்றி சொல்லி ஸ்கிரீன் பிளே(ட்டை) திருப்பி போடுகிறார் டைரக்டர். சிரித்த வாய் சிரித்தபடி தியேட்டருக்குள்ளிருந்து வெளியேறுகிறான் ரசிகன். கதையை போலவே கொடுத்த காசும் டேக் இட் ஈசியாகிறது!
கார்த்தியின் முகமும், அந்த சிரிப்பும் தமன்னாவுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கே பிடித்து போகிறது. அவர் என்ட்ரி கொடுத்தாலே ஜில் ஆகிறான் ரசிகன். ஃபிரண்டு விஷயத்துல கணக்கு பார்க்க மாட்டேன். கணக்கு விஷயத்தில் ஃபிரண்டையே பார்க்க மாட்டேன் என்று இவர் சந்தானத்தை சதாய்த்தாலும், இரண்டு பேரும் சேர்ந்து ஒரு காலனிக்கே மொட்டை போடுகிற காட்சியும் பணத்தை பங்கு போட்டுக் கொள்கிற காட்சியும் ரகளை! நகை அணிந்த பெண்களை கூட விலைப்பட்டியலோடுதான் கற்பனை செய்கிறார் மனுஷன். (அந்த கற்பனையே புதுசுப்பா) 'கண்ணா லட்டு திங்க ஆசையா?' என்ற விளம்பர வாசகத்தை கூட பொறுத்தமான இடத்தில் நுழைத்து கைதட்டல் வாங்குகிறார்கள்.
ஒரு கார்த்தி இப்படியென்றால் இன்னொரு கார்த்தியை நினைத்தாலே தொற்றிக் கொள்கிறது மிடுக்கு. சாகும்போது கூட கண்ல பயம் தெரியக்கூடாது என்கிற கொள்கை அவருக்கு. ரவுடியின் தம்பியை கதற கதற ஜீப்பில் கட்டி போலீஸ் ஸ்டேஷனுக்கு கொண்டு போகிற காட்சி எல்லா மொழி ரசிகனுக்குமான இஞ்சி மரபா!
மொழு மொழு வயிறு, மொசைக் இடுப்பு என்று தமன்னாவை சென்ட்டி மீட்டர் சென்ட்டி மீட்டராக காட்டி சூடேற்றுகிறார் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் வேல்ராஜ். கார்த்தியை வளைக்க தமன்னா போடும் திட்டத்தில் பெருமளவு பங்கு வகிக்கிறது இந்த இடுப்பு! செகன்ட் ஆஃபில் எங்கம்மா போனீங்க என்று ரசிகனை ஏங்கவும் வைக்கிறது இவரது விடுப்பு!
சந்தானத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு ஜோக்குக்கும் சரணாகதியாகிறார்கள் ரசிகர்கள். டேய்... வாழ்க்கையில நான் எத்தனையோ இடத்துல திருடியிருக்கேன். மெடிக்கல் ஷாப்புல திருட வச்சிட்டீயேடா என்று வேதனைப்படுகிறாரே, அந்த வசனத்தை எங்கே கேட்க விட்டார்கள்? வெடிச்சிரிப்பய்யா அது. ஆளாளுக்கு டேய்ய்ய்ய்னு கத்துறீங்களே. அது என்ன ரவுடிகளோட ரிங் டோனா? என்று சந்தானம் சதாய்க்கிற போதும் இதே ரீயாக்ஷன்தான் தியேட்டரில்.
அப்புறம் வில்லன் வகையறா... அவர்களின் காட்டுவாசி தேகம், கர்ணகொடூர பாவம் என்று நகர்கிறது பிற்பாதி. முரட்டு போலீஸ் அதிகாரிக்கு பதிலாக காமெடி ஹீரோ என்ட்ரி ஆனதும், வில்லன்களும் காமெடி பண்ண ஆரம்பித்துவிடுகிறார்கள்.
இசை வித்யாசாகர். துண்டு துண்டாக வரும் அந்த அம்மா பாட்டு அழகான மெலடி. அப்புறம் எல்லாமே கமர்ஷியல் கட்டாயம்.
உறுமும் என்று உள்ளே போனால், புல்லாங்குழல் வாசிக்கிறது புலி!

Indeed, Tamannah and Karthi's Siruthai has finally launched in the United States and it is running successfully in multiple movie halls. Recently we checked the box office collection from these halls and were surprised to see how well the film was doing.
In fact, Siruthai is doing really good business in the US. From New York to Austin to Kansas City, the film has been acclaimed as one of the bests this last six months apart from Robot, and Karthi is the new hot favorite of the American crowd it seems.
Karthik reminds us of Kaakha Kaakha where he played a tough police guy and Tamannah shines in her small role. The film also features Santhanam in a significant role. Words are that the film would be doing even more business in the US as it has been received really well in there.

Chumma adichi viduraanga. This is marketing tattis. If you have a contact in BW/Iglitz etc which most US distributors do, you can publish anything. Dallas-la < 100 dhaan even for primetime shows like Sat'day 2:00, 6:00 etc.
And I don't think Siruthai is the WORST commercial film ever, seriously it can't be. From what I heard first half is nice timepass and 2nd half is pure torture.

DMK leaders in each districts have been requested by Rama.Narayanan to buy 1000 fifty rupees ticket for Ilaignan and also bring in the crowd. They are claiming that even after giving the tickets for free, nobody dares to walk inside the theatre. They say that in the last 5 yrs, they've had the same trouble with Kannamma, Uliyin Oasai and Penn Singam. They also havet he problem of watching the movie themselves first as Kalaignar may call them anytime and check for it.

Here’s the biggest surprise with Pongal releases at Box Office. With Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ opening up a day later to ‘Siruthai’ and ‘Aadukalam’, it has managed to top the charts spinning good profits.
1. Kaavalan: It’s been a very long time indeed. Vijay fans were patently disappointed with his previous 5 movies flunking terribly. Realizing the desperate need of success, the actor has stepped back into his old shoes of soft romantic roles. The film has opened up in 350 theatres in Tamil Nadu and has also hit screens in overseas. Majority of the multiplexes and single screens have shifted other releases to the mini-screens as ‘Kaavalan’ occupies main theatres.
2. Aadukalam: Sun Pictures’ marketing traits were very much illustrious through the stylish teasers, which gave a tremendous opening for the film. However, the film dropped down with collections from 4th day as audiences couldn’t grasp to the second half as they feel it too irrelevant from first hour.
3. Siruthai: Yet another commercial entertainer. For the first time, K.E. Gnanavel Raja has released the film without the support of any big banners. Apparently, the collections have been considerably low when compared to Karthi’s previous movies ‘Paiyaa’ and ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’.
4. Manmadhan Ambu: The Brand ‘Red Giant Movies’ still keeps the Christmas release ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ occupied in theatres. Kamal Haasan’s screenplay stands out as the heart and soul of the film. However it has failed to grab the attention of ‘B’ and ‘C’ Centres.
5. Ilaignan: Pa. Vijay’s ‘Ilaignan’ has gone down unmaking a fine opening. In spite of occupying some major theatres, it couldn’t withstand the heavy downpour of big tickets for Pongal. In fact, the film hasn’t got a single appreciable quotient except Kalaignar Karunanidhi’s dialogues.
6. Mynaa: We have analyzed a lot on this movie and it’s a commendable showpiece by Prabhu Solomon. Vijay TV has reportedly acquired the film’s satellite rights and buzzes are about airing the film by next month.
7. Easan: Sasikumar’s ‘Easan’ took some time to catch up with the senses of audiences and finally the filmmaker accomplished with his attempts. He took quality time to get the audiences understand the concept. Thanks to his non-linear narration and technical brilliance by entire team.
8. Rattha Sarithiram: Suriya’s performance is one worthy attribute that kept the film going for some days. Now, with the assassination of real life inspiration Maddelacheruvu Suri, it has become more popular as the people who missed the movie in theatres are yearning to watch it in home video. The Hindi version of ‘Rakht Charithra-2’ has been already aired in Sony Set Max.
9. Aatanayagan: Sakthi previously tried his luck in romantic roles that didn’t help him. But his leap into action packed roles has got him some appreciations. If he goes by good scripts, he is sure to make it bigger.
10. Siddhu Plus Two: K. Bhagyaraj’s double entendres should have been the only reason for having survived for sometime in theatres. He could easily carry away the attention of youth groups.

அப்படி பெரிய நிறுவன படங்களுடன் எதிர்நீச்சல் போட்டு வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கிறது காவலன் படம். படப்பிடிப்பில் ஆரம்பித்த பிரச்னை படம் முடிந்து பெட்டிகளை தியேட்டருக்கு அனுப்பும் வரை நீடித்துக் கொண்டே இருந்தது. ஆரம்பத்தில் அசினுக்கு எதிர்ப்பு என்று கிளம்பிய சிலர், பின்பு விஜய்க்கு எதிராக பிரச்னையை திசை திருப்பினார்கள். இது ஒருபுறமென்றால் படத்தை ரீலிஸ் செய்ய விடாமல் கடைசி நேரத்தில் பண நெருக்கடி*யும் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இதுவரை விநியோகஸ்தராக, தயாரிப்பாளராக பல வருட அனுபவம் பெற்ற விஜய்யின் அப்பா எஸ்.ஏ.சந்திரசேகரையே நிலைகுலையச் செய்யும் அளவுக்கு மலை*போல வந்த பிரச்னைகளையும், சவால்களையும் திறம்பட எதிர்கொண்டு பொங்கல் தினத்தில் படத்தை ரீலிஸ் செய்து விட்டனர். ரீலிஸ் முயற்சியில் பெற்ற வெற்றி, பட ரிசல்ட்டிலும் கிடைத்து விட்டது.
இத்தனைக்கும் காவலனுடன் போட்டியிட்ட முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி கதை, வசனத்தில் உருவான இளைஞன் உள்ளிட்ட படங்களுக்கு டி.வி. சேனல்கள் மற்றும் எப்.எம். ரேடியோக்களில் 10 நிமிடத்துக்கு ஒருமுறை விளம்பரப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இன்னமும் விளம்பரங்கள் தொடர்கின்றன. காவலன் விளம்பரம் வெளியிடுவதற்கும் சிலபல சிக்கல்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டதால் எந்தவித விளம்பரமும் இல்லாமல் களத்தை சந்தித்து வெற்றி பெற்றது.
காவலனுக்கு பல சிக்கல்களால் விளம்பரம் செய்ய இயலாமல் போனது. ஆனால் இதேபோல இதற்கு முன்பு சில படங்கள் எந்தவித விளம்பரங்களும் இன்றி வெற்றியடைந்திருக்கின்றன. நாடோடிகள் படம் ரீலிஸ் ஆகும்வரை டி.வி., எப்.எம்.களில் விளம்பரப்படுத்தப்பட வில்லை. பட ரிசல்ட் வந்த பிறகுதான் படத்தை வெற்றிப்படமாக்கிய ரசிகர்களுக்கு நன்றி என்று விளம்பரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அதேபோலதான் மொழி, அபியும் நானும் உள்ளிட்ட படங்களுக்கும். விளம்பரத்தின் துணையின்றி வெற்றி பெற்ற படங்கள் அத்தனையும் தரமான படங்கள் என்பதில் இருவேறு கருத்துக்கள் இருக்க முடியாது.
நந்தலாலா, தா, தென்மேற்கு பருவக்காற்று போன்ற பல தரமான படங்கள் சரியான தியேட்டர் கிடைக்காததாலும், விளம்பரங்கள் இல்லாததாலும் வெற்றி நூலிழையில் கைவிட்ட படங்கள். இதி்ல தா படத்தை மீண்டும் ரீலிஸ் செய்யும் திட்டத்துடன் அதன் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் அதற்கான வேலைகளில் இறங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். மைனா என்ற வெற்றிப்படம், உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் என்ற பெரிய தயாரிப்பாளர் மூலம் வெளியானதால் வெற்றி பெற முடிந்தது. அந்த படத்தை அவர் வாங்கி வெளியிடாமல் இருந்திருந்தால் தா, நந்தலாலா, தென்மேற்கு பருவக்காற்று போன்ற படங்களின் நிலைதான் மைனாவிற்கும் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும் என்பது விவரமறிந்தவர்களின் கருத்து.
எந்தவித கதையம்சமும் இல்லாத படத்தில் இடம்பெறும் ஒரு சில நல்ல வசனங்களை மட்டும் எடுத்து விளம்பரமாக்கி, அந்த விளம்பரத்தை நிமிடத்திற்கு நிமிடம் டி.வி. மற்றும் எப்.எம். ரேடியோக்களில் வெளியிட்டு படத்தை பார்க்கும் ஆர்வத்தை தூண்டி விடுகிறார்கள். விளம்பரத்தை நம்பி படத்தை பார்க்கப் போன பலருக்கு தலைவலி வந்ததுதான் மிச்சம். சமீபத்தில் நடந்த தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்க பொதுக்குழுவில் இந்த விவகாரத்தை சற்று மறைமுகமாக சாடிய சங்கத்தலைவர் இராம.நாராயணன், டி.வி., விளம்பரங்களுக்கு கட்டுப்பாடு கொண்டு வர வேண்டும், என்று ஒரு தீர்மானத்தையும் நிறைவேற்றினார். எப்போதும்போலவே அந்த தீர்மானமும் ஏட்டிலேயே தனது வாழ்க்கையை முடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் என்பது மற்ற சிறு பட்ஜெட் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கு தெரியாதா என்ன?

Siruthai... although it manages to entertain somehow
could not come close to Kaavalan this pongal. However, the word of mouth for Siruthai is good here in uk.
Many have recommended siruthai but since kaavalan has a better climax its an even battle here. Many family audience like Kaavalan and youth like siruthai. My facebook is spammed with siruthai recommendation.
However, Aadukalam was not recieved well mainly due to the lack of screen space and also the people who watched the late night show felt sleepy due to slow screen play... which is why the above record is like that.... here many watch movies through word of mouth.
