  pavithra-when rathika says that pretends to hate her son Ajith when he was about to die. that was very emotinal scene even my mother cried for this scene
  Amarkalam-not cry but too emotional when Ajith was arguing with raguvaran when raguvaran told him to forget shalini. then when Ajith was driving the bad guys before the climax.
  Vaali-the climax, the other scene is when simran tells her husband that if his brother isn't dumb, he'll be living with me. realy a great moment. then the scene where both Ajith made Simran 'loosu'.
  thodarum-when thevayani tried to join Ajith and heera but I don't remember very exact scene

  When I see this topic, first thing comes to my mind is Paasamalar. How much ever I see this movie, I cry.
  
  Other than that, I would say Mahanadhi - When Kamalhasan begs in the brothel house and when he cries, when his daughter shouts in her sleep,.....

  Oiye, there was nothing lol, Kadhalukku Mariyathai was one of those Non-Kamal movies made me shed tears, Thats why i always rank Kadhalukku Mariyathay in my all time top10 movies
  
  And yeah, I forgot Mahanadhi- such a powerful movie, lots of scenes made me cry
  In Thenali too- Kamal's first scene with Jayaram during the consultation, then during the TV interview made me get mist in my eyes

  Ahh...Racheeel ......I meant mist 4 only that TV interview scene in Thenali, other than that all the other scenes that i mentioned in this thread had me shed tears including that Kadhalukku Mariyathai climax(but it was more so of pleasant/relieved tears). See thats what Kamal's acting is all about., If that interview scene in Thenali or some of the other scenes i mentioned- i cried, had been done by some other actor than Kamal, I mite have laughed.
  Kamal's acting was outstanding there, he makes audience cry by just his acting even when the scene is not so dramatically emotional,For ex :- Pammal.k.Sambandham,Thenali- Both comedy movies...........
  And moreover "lancelot" also has listed that Thenali scene, as he cried 8)

  Even if Kamal died in the climax, somehow I didn't feel sad.
  
  Kamal is a class actor.. He simply makes the audience react. U will laugh out for his MMKR and cannot stop crying for Gunaa or Punnagai mannan. Kamal is the only actor so versatile of doing films of extremes. Kuruthi punal, Hey Raam, Thenaali, Punnagai mannan, Kaithyin Diary, Devar magan. No two characters are comparable. No other actor is comparable with him.

  After some Vijayakant films end, I am very happy that the film has atlast come to an end. (Eppa thaan mudiyumo..)

  I totally agree kasi_ce...i hardly ever cry for movies but at times the bacground scores really get me..the violin and flute interludes..are so hard to resist...the sad tune of the title song...the ah-ah-ahs...

  There are many of KH's movies/scenes made me cry; Just to name 3 to keep it short!
  
  1. 16 Vayadhiniley - The scene where "Chappani" tells "kuyilu", "enga Atha Adu vaLarthA, mAdu vaLarthA, kozhi vaLarthA..."
  
  That scene could create a lump in your throat for sure.
  
  It's understandable that most of Hollywood actors are professionals to the core as they typically go to cinema schools, workshops, auditioning etc before graudating themselves into an "complete actor" who is ready for Hollywood films.
  
  KH was 22 in that movie and always wondered where the hell he acquired his acting skills at an age when most of the heroes will be content with unchallenging ,"run-of-the-mill" roles?
  
  Even Tamil actors of 40's, 50's and 60's formally graduated from Drama to Cinema before getting roles that can challenge their "acting" skills.
  
  Probabaly one source of "inspiration" would have been Shivaji Ganesan who KH always claims to be his role model. Also, KH grew up closely with Shanmugam anAchi's stage drama troupe and I believe that would have helped him a lot, I guess.
  
  I think most of our current generation "heroes" should probably take a lesson or two about "acting" and how to get under the skin of a character rather than just merely "playing" it.
  
  2. Moondram Pirai - The climax scene where Seenu (KH) tries to refresh Lakshmi's (Sri Devi) memory regarding his identity!!!
  
  That scene was a "tear-jerker" just out of his facial reactions and body language!!!
  
  3. Punnagai Mannan - The scene where Sethu (KH) & Rekha plan to commmit suicide. Rekha dies while Sethu gets stuck on the branch of a tree. Sethu's reaction to the death of his lover was amazing!!!
  
  Sanjeevi - The scene you mentioned in Dharmadurai was a good one!
  
  Also, I remember this movie "Veedu" from Balu Mahendra.
  
  That was a very touching movie. Espcially the scene where Archana's father goes to visit the "veedu" that his daugther builds... His expressions and reaction in that scene was brilliant

  I saw Pasumpon when I was 11 or 12 and I just couldn't control crying at that time....It really has been intriguing me a lot that I rented that DVD and watched it, this year and I found it was just my age that made me cry then, movie was good.

Before going to these heroes, all directors went to Ajith only. Only after he rejected them they looked for others or whatever.   Not really. None of the current directors are qualified to approach Kamal for any role. Unless Kamal invite them,they have to settle down with Ajith/Vikram/Surya (no vijay.... he decided to do monkey business anyways).
  
  I dont think any of upcoming movies will show Ajith's talent. You have to wait for Bala's movie. Take my word, after Bala's movie, Ajith will be numero uno. Vijay will continue to do monkey business but Ajith will get into serious acting.

  and NOTHINGNESS in his face would speak volume.

  But Manorama, absolutely dissolved me, as I watched her in "Indian" as she cursed, railed and ranted in the scene when a corrupt govt. officer insisted on pre-payment; money which of course, she didn't have!!

  Another scene that'll pinch our hearts was, after roopini gets married they'd come back home and will have to bear Mouli's shouting and etc..... Amidst this Kamal will be there surrounded by other dwarfs - sympathizing him - he'll shoo them away- crying -......Wow he was brilliant there........
  As Sanjeevi said earlier, Aboorva Sagodharargal was like the grammar for an Entertaining movie !!! U get to see everything !! World class acting !! comedy, revenge,..................

  When Vel Nayagar comes to nazar's house to see...well nazar, and he looks at the pic which has the daughter in it. And he realizes that she is his wife. Kamal's acting with Raja's background score made me sob like a baby!!

  i WENT with my freinds gang to this movie.
  
  Though I knew ship would sink, I thought HERO AND HEROINE would escape (hah is this a tamizh movie!!!!!!!!)
  
  I cried a lot. (I was ashamed as we were a bunch of guys and girls together all younger to me and NOT CRYING)
  
  There was one MIDDLE AGED MAN around 40 or so................
  
  sobbing helplessly alone, even after the movie got over. He did not get up from his seat..........
  
  Had a hanky to close his face, and his body was shaking rudely, heavy sobs escaping from him.
  
  Sad. We all probably thought HE LOST SOMEONE .

  Just like how u watched KUSHI and that MUMTAJ song, u should have tolerated it.. IMHO, DOG Comedy is a crap. But not like some sensual sounds I heard in Kushi during that song, etc etc. (Hope u understand)
