No. 1: "Ilayathalapathy" Vijay.

The top hero in the industry but an essentially humble and reticent human being! His success streak has been continuing from last year and his latest Diwali release, Sivakasi is rocking with good business. His penchant for comedy and action have made won him a large audience base. He is presently working on his home production, Aadhi, which is a remake of a hit Telugu movie, Athanakode. His film after Aadhi will be Puli to be directed by S.J. Suryah.

No. 2: "Chiyan" Vikram.

Vikram had a big hit with Anniyan which came after a long gap of two years. But the wait has proved its worth and the spectacular success has proved Vikram’s popularity. Maja followed soon but it has not exactly fared as expected. Not one to lose faith easily, he will start work soon on Bheema, which will be directed by Lingusamy. A.M.Ratnam is the producer under his Sri Surya Movies banner. He always seeks challenging roles and his versatility makes him a sought after hero.

No. 3: "Perazhagan" Surya!

The handsome hero had a lukewarm run before Nanda directed by Bala proved his good acting abilities. His performance in several films like Pithamagan, Kakka kakka, Perazhagan and Mayavi have proved his penchant with different aspects like emoting, comedy and action. He joined the big league with Kakka kakka and his recent release, Ghajini is doing well in Tamil and Telugu. His next film, Aaru is releasing this month. He is also a committed social activist and he recently announced his decision to support the Tanker Foundation which works in the area of kidney diseases.

No. 4: "Godfather" Ajith.
The handsome hero has reduced weight and looks much smarter. He is working on three movies Paramasivan, Godfather and Tirupathi. Out of these Tirupathi has been assured for April 14 release and now the shooting for the movie Paramasivan is going on, but Godfather has been put on hold. His verbal spats in the media made him quite unpopular but he has mellowed down now and he said recently that henceforth he would only let his films do all the talking.

No. 5: "Manmadhan" Simbhu!
He comes from a family in which the staple is cinema and hence his passion for the medium is quite understandable. In ThottiJaya, he played a thug with underplayed intensity and the film has been doing well. His forthcoming films are Saravana and Vallavan. Vallavan will also mark his debut as director and he has assured that it would be a bigger hit than Manmadhan.

No. 6: Chocolat Hero Maddy

No. 7: Sathyaraj!

No.8: Dhanush

No. 9: Bharath

No. 10: Arya.

I think that the list is quite accurate. Although I might argue with the No.1 Position, but no one can deny that VJ is the Box Office Magician!
