Sourav, IMO, Rohit Sharma is one of the highly talented players in World Cricket. Statistical averages are always a myth when compared to their talents. He is still a raw product. He has to be moulded in a proper way to become a good package. In India if a player has produced one match winning batting or bowling performance, our people and media has made it a habit of making them as a Demi-God. From Sanjay Manjrekar, Vinod Kambli to Irfan Pathan, lot of good players' careers have been wasted mainly because of too much hype and a few had discipline problems too. Still I am not sure about the disciplines of Yuvi or Bhajji or Sreesanth. //end dig// |

He took 17 wickets recently against SA in the 3 match test series and performed well with the bat too. Even though he performed very well recently (considering the whole Australians' pathetic performance), his place in the Australian team is still uncertain. Thank God! He was not considered as next Ian Botham or Imran Khan of Australia. Had he played in the Indian team, Indian media certainly would have made him as an allrounder. |

LM I agree with you partially. Atleast they should have given some fight till the end. SA did a good job only on yesterday and on the morning of the first day. I am reiterating that Jacques Kallis' consistent failure against Australia is the major worrying factor for South Africa. Look at his average against Australia. It's around 35 which is too bad for a player of Kallis' calibre. Where is Gibbs, the natural striker of the ball and what happened to him??? |

SA - Graeme Smith = Chokers forever is the right equation according to me. Had Graeme Smith played for little more then this is purely South Africa's match. For me, Graeme Smith is the only man from South Africa has enough guts to challenge any team / any score / anywhere at any time. To some extent Mark Boucher is another one, who raises to the occasion. Even though Hansie Cronje is regarded as one of the greatest Captains in the history of cricket, Graeme Smith scores over fellow South African Hansie for his courage. For sheer intelligence and skills, Hansie will be on top in SA cricket forever. |

92.6 Siddle to Duminy, no run, was that a drop? Yes it was, Siddle gets one to nip away off the seam and Duminy hops at the crease and gets a thick edge to Haddin low to his right, Haddin's not sure if he took it cleanly and asks the umpires to decide, the slow-motion replays show that it was grassed - the ball lobbed off his left glove and as he tried to get his right glove underneath it to take the rebound, the ball bounced on the turf, that slow-mo replay was simply awesome |

Harris to Katich, OUT. What an uncharacteristic shot. It was on a length outside off stump, Katich dragged it from there, attempting a sweep shot but could only top edge it to close on the leg side and Imraan Khan takes his first Test catch. Remember he had dropped Katich at point in Ntini's opening spell. |

98.2 Siddle to Kallis, 1 run, He has reached his ton after a 11-month gap. Oh no the umpire has signalled it as leg bye! Kallis was celebrating already . What drama. He moved back and across and tried to work it to the on side and got a inside edge to his pad and it rolled off the off side. Kallis had pumped his fist up and the crowd were cheering. Hold on ... more drama as Rauf checks with Bowden and reverses the decision. kallis smiles and puts his hands up. Aha! its not over yet as Ponting charges out to have a strong word with Rauf .. he is not happy that Rauf has changed the decision. |

139.3 McDonald to de Villiers, SIX, Murder! Full pitched this time and AB kills it over long-on. Lovely clean swing of the bat. Will he keep going for sixes? 139.2 McDonald to de Villiers, SIX, McDonald helps AB by pitching this one even shorter and de Villiers says thanks for the gift and rips it to the crowd behind deep midwicket. up up and over. 139.1 McDonald to de Villiers, SIX, wow!
