In olden years, if a movie was packed with good/better/best songs, it ran well with collection just for songs. But IR could not save NEPV. Because with the screen play, one even go to the extend to hate the songs appearing in that movie. An album only to cherish in the audio mode. In fact GVM is famous for song picturization. But suvare illaamal siththiram ippollaam varaiya mudiyaathunga!

Opinion differs! I use to skip Chinnak kannile! Vaangum paNaththukkum from SPB and velaiyaataa padakotti of Hari version and IR solo are the songs I keep on listening. Velaiyaattaa padakotti is yet another example why Hari is simply good for delivering that sOham/Ekkam/void feel.

Why aravaan ignored by many here? Its a great attempt from VB that has to be appriciated. Casting, screen play, make-up, locations, performance, camera, editing, climax - very nicely packaged. A flop in business. But ignoring in awards category also is a crime!
