can any body help me with munthiri kothu recipie.its made of broiled green gram & rice coarse powder.Its a very famous sweet of kerala.
Can anybody help me out with its recipie

i made ur date pickel and tomato chutney pickle.Date pickel was superb, but the tomato one turned a bit spicy(hot)
May i know wuts "maratti moggu". Im planning of making bisbellebath.[Like wise may i know wuts sultanas. i read about this in one of my cookery books]

Hello Sapna,
Thanks for your feedback on Date pickle.Please post the feedback in my corner.
If tomato pickle is hot, do one thing.Take another 25 gms of tomatoes, saute in oil till reduced to 1/4 volume, add a little salt and sugar and add it to your tomato pickle which has become hot.Mix well and use.

hemanhji isnt this munthiri kothu a kerala sweet. my mom used 2 make very superb ones , but i guess she used 2 put rice powder also. or is there any other recipie 4 that. like wise she never usd 2 put turmeric powder. isnt dry ginger needed in that recipie. is sesame & gingelly seeds same.
anyway let me try and see. ill let u know the feed back

Karna kIZANGU is Malbar /elephant yam, sultanas are currants or Draksh or reisins.
Mundhiri kothu that I know does not use chukku.What you are refering may be a variation.
Sesame and gingly are same.Maretti Moggu is moggu in Kannada, Badi Laung or kabab chini on Hindi.

after posting u i read ur response in another thread regarding karana kirangu.But still i didnt undestand maratti moggu, does it have any malayalam name. Like wise u have told me taht u'll shortly post another recipie 4 dates pickel.

I think it is "thippali" in malayalam, which used as a medicine also, in Ayurveda.
