Can anyone give me suggestions on how to use slow cooker (crockpot) in South Indian cooking?
I am pressed for time to cook good meals for my family and an American friend suggested I adapt my cooking to use a crockpot. Any suggestions on this? Any tips or Souht Indian recipes for slow cooker to share? Thanks for your help as always.

Try dhal, sambhar, pongal, etc...just put in all the ingredients after sauteing, roasting, grinding, etc... should work!

As long as you brown the onions first, the rest of the ingredients can just be thrown in. If oyu are really pressed for timee, why not buy onions that are already cut and peeled, that way you just have to brown them in a little oil or butter in the morning, or at night. Curry works well. Adapt any recipe from a regular Indian cookbook, and it should be fine.
