Hello Dear Hubbers,
There is an interesting side story of interest involving GARLIC.
Last month, I lost a friend due to Garlic.
This gentleman in question is a dihard non user of Garlic due to religious reason.( ofcourse he did take codliver pills after a stroke)
We met for dinner at a mutual friend's place. As usual the topic was food.
Since that friend was running unfavourable period of Saturn, I told him to use Garlic to prevent second stroke.
This request was repeated by me and our mutual friend and also his wife and son.
I don't know what happened after some time. The gentleman in question got so upset that he insulted me in front of all the guests and broke our relationship. And declared that he would never take Garlic .!!!

In regards to garlic, in order for it to be effective as a medicine it must be consumed raw!! If you read about all of the studies done on garlic they were all done with uncooked raw garlic. All of the garlic pills, garlic oil, and garlic extracts sold in health food stores are devoid of allicin, which is the active component in garlic. So those garlic pills are therapeutically useless. Also, even cooking raw garlic destroys many of the beneficial enzymes in it. So your best bet is raw uncooked garlic if you really want to reap the benefits of it.

You can make omam and garlic rice.
Cook rice as usual.
IN a frying pan or tawa, add one teaspoon of butter (or olive oil if you are on diet). add two red chillies and when the chillies are roasted, add lots of garlic cloves (if the garlic cloves are too big, cut them into smaller pieces.)
Add omam (ajwain) and roast it for a few more minutes.
Add this mixture to the rice and add salt to taste.
