I'm posting from the Middle East. Will be visiting Paris on 10th on my way to Lourdes.
Need to know names and address of good Indian vege restaurants.
Do you have any idea about Lourdes. My travel agent says there are no direct flights to Lourdes. The closest airport being Pou, 27 kms from Lourds. Is it safe to travel by road in the evening from Pou to Lourdes? Will be doing this journey alone.

yemmA thAyE viv, if you want the paris/frencg experience, why don't you go taste some nice French food. You can always eat Indian food at home!!!
The French are very friendly people, thrilled when you speak a few words in French. Nothing to be worried about the travel by road. What transport are you using?

Yes, I love French food too. Not much choice with vege food though, and need to keep off rich food. About transport need to know which is the most popular and safest form of transport between these two towns. Last visit to France with in 1985, lot must have changed hence a bit apprehensive.
You are right smiley, I think I should use the misc section. This is the only section that I have visited and think the cookery corner attacts more visitors. Merci beaucoup.

Hi,
In Paris, you can find lots of indian/sri lankan restaurants in the La Chappelle area. My favorite was disney for delicious dosais (4 yrs back). Woodlands was another popular one.
Never been to Lourdes, but I think trains run by Thalys are the superfast train from Paris to south France. SNCF - French National Railways Server is another fast train service.
I was never comfortable with French food. Good luck to find McDonalds, KFC, Burger King on the way to Lourdes.
Better carry a English-French dictionary with you.
