Electric oven

As there are so many hazards in using the Microwave oven, I am planning to buy a Electric Oven so I can bake the chicken (without oil) and fish or even cakes.

Does anybody know how good or bad it is to use the Electric oven? If anyone has used it before, can you please post some recipes?
