Hi,
Both of us are going to work and our daughter is going to daycare. As such, she does not seem to have lunch in the day care. So by the time she comes back home around 4:30, she is desparately hungry. Can somebody suggest a good snack for a toddler 3 year old ?? Thanks in Advance for your hlep

Hi, Try this simple one with dates
Milk - 1 cup
Dates -10 nos
Corn flake-1½ cups

Cut Dates into small pieces add mix with milk and bring to boil in a sauce pan. Reduce heat and keep on stirring till thickens. Add corn flakes and mix well. Remove from flame and let it cool. Make into 1 inch diameter spheres and coat with coconut and serve.

Grilled Cheese sandwiches are a good filler snack/meal for little ones. I keep some ramen noodles handy for my 4 year old. You can cook it in 2-3 mins, add any cooked chicken or veggies to it for flavor ( I avoid using the flavor pouch)and it's an instant meal. Also, cantoloupe and grapes are usually a big hit with little ones. Also, baby carrots and ranch dressing is also a very healthy snack.

Try this..
Potatoes are kids all time favourite..
Bread - 2 slices
Potato - 1 small
Green onion - 1 out of the bunch (optional)
Masala - pinch (optional)
Tomato ketchup
Salt
.Boil potatoes and mash it.
.Finely chop green onion.
.Mix mashed potatoes, green onions, salt, masala together.
.Spread this mixture on one side of a bread slice and place the other slice to make it into a sandwich.
.Toast this in a sandwich maker until golden brown. If sandwich maker is non stick then grease it with little veggie oil.
.Serve this with ketchup.
Kids will love this. I have a 4 year old and he eats one full sandwich and feels filled up for a while.
Let me know how it comes out!
