Tomato chutney/sauce

This is a type of chutney that can be used as a side dish for all kinds of idli;s dosas,upmas,even rice.
This preparation remains for a longer time if stored in a air tight container.
Ingredients:
Tomatoes red ,big & ripe 7-8
tamrind a small lemon size
green chillies whole 5-6
red chilli powder 2tsp
sugar 2tsp
salt as required.
for tampering
cooking oil for tampering -4tsp
mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
garlic crushed 1/2 tsp
tumeric powder 1/2 tsp
curry leaves
corriander leaves /cilantro.

method:
in a heavy bottom vessel put the tomotoes,tamrind,greenchillies & add water just upto the surface till all the tomotoes r fully soaked. don't over put the water ,which may result in a very watery sauce.
allow this to boil for atleast 45mins till the tomotoes r nicely cooked.
cool this mixture for 10mins.now in a blender mash this mixture & stain it into a new vessel to remove the unwated skin of the tomotoes.
now there will be a thick pulp ,put this in the stove under medium heat & allow it to boil.add the salt,sugar redchilli powder .
after the first boil remove from fire & tamper with the tampering ingredients.
this can be stored in the refridgirator for almost a month.
