Banana Bread

250 gms sugar
500 gms flour
2 eggs
1 tbsps milk
half tsp salt
1 cup mashed bananas - bananas shoild be ripe
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
half cup butter
Method :
1.Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
2.Add eggs slightly beaten then add the milk and mashed banans.
3.Stir in the flour , soda , baing powder , and salt.flod in well and pour into a prepared loaf tin.
5.Serve hot or cold with ice cream or custard.

Two questions>>
- Do you bake or steam this? If baked - at what temperature and for how long
- What does the salt do in the recipe?

hi funcook ,
Stir in the flour , soda , baking powder , and salt. Fold in well and pour into a prepared loaf tin.
Bake in moderate oven for about 1 hour.
p/s : not so sure abt the salt , but its included in the recipe.

um..i like banana bread, but i need to know the history of it, not the freakin recipe.
