Kothavarangai poriyal- How to make it delicious

Mostly Children and even elders hate to eat this kothavarangai if made in the usual way or even as usili.I tried this.Slit open the kai and cut it along the length and soak the same in tamarind extract with is mixed with salt for an hour and season with kadugu u.paruppu,perungayam and red chilies and turmeric and cook the kai in medium flame add salt to taste.if required you can add a little of water while cooking.when golden brown remove and serve along with raitha.it is very tasty
