I tried making Idiappam with the flour meant for this. I made the batter with boiling water wit no lumps. It was easy to knead it through the Seva. But after steaming it, it was very hard. Any tips on how to make the Idiappams softer?
Thanks in Advance

Dear Prema, u pls try out my recipe. it will be very good and soft too. soak parboiled rice in water for abt 4 hrs. Grind the rice to a fine thick batter. Remove and put it in the fridge for 2 or 3 days. after 3 days remove it from fridge and put little oil in non stick kadai and roast it for a while. don't roast for too long do it only till the moisture is removed. now remove the batter from heat and knead it in the seva machine and steam cook it. u will get yummy soft idiyappams. i always do like this. try it and let me know
