I sit here thinking of you
Wondering what you are doing
I try to forget you
Only to find myself dying

Memories crowd my mind
Everything reminds me of bygone times
Tears make me blind
My heart cries for the old times

I close my eyes
To feel your arms around me
You hold me in a vice
But you, I cannot see

I imagine you sitting by my side
Driving me to madness
You walked down the aisle by her side
Filling my life with sadness

You are long gone
No longer here
You said you loved me
But you married her

My pillow is wet with tears
As I drift off in to a sleep
I see you in my dreams
As I continue to weep

I try to wake up
But, Alas, in vain
The end has come
Thank God, no more pain

I see you smiling –
My last thought as I drift off
The world forgetting
By the world forgot

  Torturing oneself to death is not the solution!
  nevertheless.......one never knows the passion and craving heart has for loved ones long left and gone.
