It is being demanded nowadays that GADAR should be banned because of some objectionable scenes in the movie. Some examples that I read are :
1. A Muslim girl has been shown reading Namaz wearing Sindoor.
2. The Muslim girl has been shown renouncing her religion to marry a Sikh
3. There has been too many Anti-Pak dialogues.

Has anybody seen this movie and comment on that.

I am specially bothered about the 3rd point where a Muslim League leader mentioned to rediff.com that the Anti-Pak tone in the movie should have been toned down keeping in mind the Muslims of our country. Doesn't this clearly mean that Muslims like this person live in India but care more about Pakistan? Isn't this clearly Anti-nationalism?

  OK i found the info of this movie. Name is GADAR EK PREM KADHA starring Sunny Deol and Amesha Patel. I also read the news where some people burned down the theatre because of some anti dialogues.
  
  My little advise is that Be respectful to the country which provide you food and a living.

  gaddar i see this film.its really very boring. it all fantisy that a man kill a full force with out a weapon. the end is not reallity. film is good in the begnining but its end is very bad.

  I too watched the movie. Generally I don't have a high opinion about the Hindi Movies as the story comedy, set up everything will be too predictable and nothing new comes up. Regarding the controvercial part of it, I too felt it's a bit obvious to make provoking comments about Muslims and Pakistanis. If there was no communal touch, the same story and the same dialogue would have looked very normal in a Hindi movie. But in India as well as in Pakistan, when we have some 'weak hearted people ' who take weapon for any disrespect against religion, that could have been avoided. Believe in your religion and give the same respect to the other's too.

  Vinod aakkaruthu :)) I too don't like to watch hindi movies, but when i hear about good movies I will get the casset from somewhere. I saw MOHABATEIN couple of months ago, and that was like the first hindi movie I have seen in 3 years or so. Also I have a special intrest to watch historic movies like, GADAR and Lagaan, hopefully I will get them tomorrow or soon.

  If one movie unites India(Lagaan) , another breaks it (Gadar)
  This film is a clever plot played by RSS thru its supporters in the Zee network camp to bridge a cordiasl bond between Hindus and Sikh communities and at the same time punish the muslim community .
  Such films should be exposed not banned

  Well certain things are true that Muslims always try to force their religion on son-in-laws belonging toother religion. Gadar has shown that but rather exasgerated in the last scene when Sunny Deol could handle so many Pakis in the end.

  Gadar is an immature film cashing in on the public's sentiments - doing precisely what S.Rehman says. It made a whole lot of money in India.
  
  BTW, it seems a lot of people say that they don't like Hindi films as disclaimer before they make a point - even though they are discussing Hindi films, obviously after watching them. What's the deal? Vince, if you hadn't watched a Hindi film for 3 years, you shouldn't jump to the conclusion that they aren't any good. And Laskhmi, your statement about Hindi films in a nutshell is a really sweeping one. In any case, I think Lagaan has proven everyone wrong.
  
  Just for the record - I love good Hindi films. And I hate the bad ones. I don't generalise a language as a genre...

  you know what, here in USA, some americans also watched Gadar. and they thought its ridicoulus and a shame for India, since its putting some other country down through their Religion.
  
  So one thing I have to say, to the ZEE produceres.. PLEASE stop this Crappy movies.. you are making Indians Ashamed. You are the True Gaddars of your Own country.

  i dont agree with all this rasicum stuff because gaddar is a fact and the truth so if u cant hadel ii, i think u should stick to watching films like dil se.... i will also like to state that the same comments were made about BORDER if all there comments were true then y are they makeing BORDER 2

  gadar is a good movie, the majority in the states feel this way. Muslims, ofcourse hate to see the truth about themselves and may hate this movie. I know muslims that say if it were a muslim guy instead of amisha, then it would be better???
