Hi guys, as I have stated earlier, the music of processions of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, is very interesting to me, like the great Trichur Pooram, in Kerala, there are so many Chendas (drum in Kerala), Shanais, and other drums, it is something to hear, and also in Kerala, (and Tamil Nadu), when there are hindu functions, or dances (not the main classical dances), like Karakaatam, Mayilaatam, Oyilaatam, Kavadiaatam, Theyyam, etc. we also hear the Nadaswaram, Chenda, Thakkal (Thavil), Udukku, Shanai, and many other drums, does anybody know where I can get some great pictures, and info on any of these instruments? What do you guys think about all of this?

I have a couple of CDs of this Keralan percussion. You probably know already as you are keen, but I'll dig out the details if you wish.
Udukku sound is wonderful: I will definately get one on my next visit to India (probably at least two years away).

Dear All,
I have made a 7+ hour recording of the percussion
