Democracy goes ill with fine arts and civilization goes ill with culture! .. That is why the masses throng cinema halls and dirty the temples with their indiscipline. And, your vote is for .... ? And you want just some party's name being thrown in? Not meaningful!... After seeing all parties are only interested in mere vote-bank building by whipping up jealousies and hatred between diferent sections/classes of people, I never could clearly decide any of them could rally lead the nation and do any better than any other. The parties are unable to do much except for fattening party functionaries' bellies, and always only raise slogans hyping up little, peanut-like achievements thousandfold, and accusing the other parties of corruption and failure to deliver. If getting power by chance as in a lottery, the party commit the very same acts of corruption as it accused in the others, totally ignoring public interests. And now, they say, days of single party ruling are over, and any party will aign itsef with any other party group in the hope of sharing future power and booties of bribes. And yet it is a mysterious wonder that my fellowmen in India do not tire of polls and showing their disapproval of the ruling party's performance. Look, Chennai is yet to have any viable public water supply in over half of a century of indpendence! Simiar story everywhere in India!! Down down fine arts, culture and good life in India, up up corruption and democracy!!
