I am a post graduate,a NET qualified, Ph.d from Deptt. of Music, Univ.Of Rajasthan,Jaipur. My topic for research was "The Evolution Of Indian Classical Music During Medieval Period "(1200-1500).A book on the same has been published has been quite appreciated.I am deeply intrested in working on a project which deals in music therapy. Can you suggest some people with whom I can interact in this new field? If you are publishing articles, can I send my articles in this field ? Please reply.
Thanking you,

Apollo Hospitals Chennai Have recently started a Three Year Post Graduate Degree course in Music Therapy.
There was an advertisement in the Hindu in May 2004 (I forget the date) calling for admissions.
You could contact Apollo Hospitals and talk to Dr (Ms)Chari for further details.
We had the oppportunity of having first hand information when we visited the hospital to check out on the details.(My wife works for Vidyasagar -Formerly Spastic society of India Chennai-and has been using Music as a therapy aid for mentally retarded children for several years now). The work done in the music therapy Dept till date (Under the guidance of Dr Balmuralikrishna)seems to be path breaking ....
