Hi, I need a good thematic statement for this short story or if somebody could email me a new version of my current thematic statement:
Herman Melville, in "Bartleby the Scrivener," proves that sometimes a person can feel somebody for somebody after that person has died.
Please email me your suggestions at TamaDrumma131820@aol.com with the subject of the email as ' Herman Melville's "Bartleby the Scrivener" .' Thanks!
Brent

Why do you waste time by posting such lousy threads. What are you talking about.

You're missing the point of the short story, unless you are talking about a psychological doubling of some sort. Maybe if you re-read it, your thematic statement could broaden and improve it. Good luck.
