Is Asimov too old fashioned for people to talk about, already?

BC Man,
I find Asimov a bit overrated as a writer. And ye rovingeye, the belgariad is not original, it isn't even consistent, but its great escapist stuff and there is an adolescent quality to the adventure which brings my own childhood adventure fantasies back to me. These days I have more or less devoted my free time to reading and rereading Pratchettt...so OOk!!!

Stephen King, Tolkein, Lovecraft, Poe are great!
I also like Anne Rice, and the Babylon 5 books - especially the Psi Corps books.
