"I was told that Dr KJ.Yesudas was not allowed inside the Sabharimala temple IS IT TRUE?"

    Funny..
Everyday the first song played in Sabarimala temple is Harivarasanam by KJY. Sabarimala is not constrained for Hindus. Any one can enter.
( Ofcource not in Garba Gruha)

By the way, He is not allowed to enter Guruvavur Temple.
Once a program was organized for Chemmbai. KJY's guru. They did not want KJY to accompany Chembai inside the Temple. So the Dias was set outside the temple.

this site is indeed very good and kindles the memory of veterans like kannadasan and vaali. I profusely thank the contributors of interesting tidbits and look forward to more such information.
I am an ardent fan of Kannadasan, of course. I could not control my tears while reading tidbits about this great poet, the greatest of all times.

    thanks a lot

For what it is worth, based on the article on Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer (the 'pithAmaha' of Carnatic Music) in 'Kumudam Junction' 01-01-2004 (available online), it is mentioned that, SSI had IR's photo in his bedroom facing his bed - so he always wakes at IR's face.

(eng) ALERT: We need 320 character slots for thamizh (tamil) language which is alloted only 128 character slots. Current allocation is not enough to hold all the alphabets and the encoding scheme is not simple to follow. This is an very urgent need. Otherwise the future thamizh (tamil) computer users will severely suffer. Please dont have a different openion on this. Thamizh is our language and we are having the rights and responsibility to have a well defined character set along with the other languages of this world, where most of the languages are having more than enough character slots for them.

I am looking for a song that was put out in either 1959 or 1960, it contains the names of all 50 states. I don't remember the name of it, but one of the lines is What did Delaware? She wore a New Jersey. I was wondering if you could help me.
