Hi ! folks I have few titbits, this is just one.
I was a great friend of late MD V.Kumar.
He used to tell me many incidence happened in his life. One such is he was composing songs for the film "Ethir Neechal" a balachandar film and the song was vetri venduma. They planned that for TMS to sing and nagesh to dance as nagesh was a great dancer.
When TMS came for recording he listned to the tune and said what nonsense is this I will not sing this stupid tune and left the place. So they called Seerkazhi to sing. After recording at the time of shooting Nagesh heard the song and said he can't dance for that but KB never got depressed he put that song as the title song . It became a mega hit when the film was released and Seerkazhi got great name from that song.

Thinking of the great song writer Vaali these lines are great.
Jayalalitha was acting with MGR and her first film with Sivaji was "Galata Kalyanam". The first duet in that film is written by Vaali. Guess what -
" Nalla idam nee vantha idam, varavendum kathal Maharani"

GV posted the following text many months ago.

"Artists of yester years, who have financial and other difficulties must be helped in whichever way possible! Would all of us be spending (wasting? these countless hours day after day on PP and other TFM Page threads if it weren't for the selfless contributions from these great souls? The pleasure and satisfaction we derive when listening to A.M. Raja, Jicki, P.B.S. and the other artists cannot be measured in dollars and cents. They are worth their weight in gold. I think we all owe it to them!"

Can anyone tell if there is a Fund that exists for honoring all these great singers? Thanks
