Shadanane sakalam arpayami... I love this ramyamaana krithi . Sgm, pdm, mgs phrases are very catchy in these krithies. With that I can relate to Naan pesa vandhen....Shri.ilayaraja’s masterpiece as Khamas! Can you throw some film tunes in Khamas for me?
Regarding Ponnil vaanam.....Villuppattukkaran, it has shades of Rageshri-Nattaikurinji . Very light & aesthetic song! I am not sure.... Hope somebody will help you better!! [/tscii:1855916e57]

Even that "oruvar vaazhum aalayam" song "pallaviyae charanam" seems to have naattakkurinji flavour as base !! Will you agree?

Though in the pallavi(oru kaaviyum arangerum neram mazhai thoovuthey, idham aaguthey..) the tabla is very relaxed, Hindustani like.. later in the interludes, charanams I find it different. But every time Raaja finishes off with Hindustani touch ‘oru kaaviyam...’. throughout the song chorus humming at the background- very melodious![/tscii:76bc29c82a]
