    thumburu,

Are you sure of the list of pahadis from IR? Surprising no mentioned these pahadi numbers so far (especially given the fact that these are very famous numbers) !!!

Paartha vizhi is not varali - it is paavani.

    Anniyan songs...

Two songs frm Anniyan are totally classical-based. Experts pls confirm if the following is right.

    1) Iyengar veetu azhage - Naatai / Gambeeranaatai.
    2) Kumari - Dheerashankarabharanam and Sudha Saveri.

    Thanks.

'Iyengar Veettu Azhage' definitely sounds like Naatta raagam. I think 'Oh Sukumaari' is based on raaga Sama.

Hmm, i now see the Sama effect...

Thx...lemme try playing it and see. Thx Nitya.

How to find scale of a song?

    Hi guys,

I am a newbie to keyboard. I was trying to play the song "Ninaithu ninaithu" from "7G Rainbow Colony". I got the song, but I didn't get the raga of the song. Plus, as a newbie, I have an amateurish question to ask. How to find out the scale of a song? I learnt that its based on the 'Sa'. But in this particular song, I am not able to locate the Sa properly. Can anyone help?

is the song "poonthalirada" based on suddha danyasi?. Also, can someone let me know the difference between sudha dhanyasi and srothaswini?. I heard that "oh vasantha raja" and 'sintiya venmani" are srothaswini based but these two songs sound like sudhha dhanysi to me. Are these two ragas related in some way?

Nitya: Kumari from anniyan is based on saama or aarabhi?
We are what we do repeatedly.Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.
